To Ye Xian: May the regrets of this life be fulfilled in the next. From the moment I received the script and first came to know Ye Xian, to gradually stepping into his world, and now officially saying goodbye to him, this journey of accompanying and growing alongside this character will remain one of the gentlest and most precious memories of my life. On the surface, he seemed like the flamboyant and privileged heir of a noble marquis household, but deep down, he was trapped by illness and loneliness his entire life. Everyone thought he was reckless and unruly, yet no one truly understood the tenderness, stubbornness, and quiet longing hidden beneath his exterior. His life was far too short, but his love ran especially deep. When he met Jinchao, he slowly drew close with the innocence of youth. Though he appeared carefree and cynical, he was actually incredibly cautious. From falling in love, to silently protecting her, to ultimately choosing to let her go, his love was always deeply hidden. He understood her hardships and empathized with her struggles. Amid the turmoil of the court, he grew up overnight, taking on the responsibilities of his family and his sense of righteousness, yet in the end, he still could not keep the person he loved most. I did my utmost to portray this proud yet sensitive, lonely yet deeply affectionate young man as truthfully as possible. He was not perfect, but that imperfection was exactly what made him feel so vivid and alive, allowing him to enter all of our hearts. I often wonder too: how does someone who already knows they do not have much time left still choose to live so earnestly and passionately? In the story, his life was filled with regret, but I have always wanted to believe in parallel universes. Somewhere out there, he no longer suffers from illness and can laugh and run freely without worries; he no longer has to suppress his love or quietly step aside, but can instead be chosen wholeheartedly and loved for a long, long time. Far away from conflict and burdens, with family by his side, he lives a peaceful and smooth lifeβ¦ Iβm truly grateful that throughout this journey, so many people saw Ye Xian, understood Ye Xian, and felt for Ye Xian. Thank you all for accompanying me and witnessing his joys and sorrows together. Your empathy and love are the best ending this character could ever have. My heartfelt thanks go to the entire cast and crew of #ASplendidMatch and everyone working both in front of and behind the scenes. It has been an incredible honor to complete this precious and unforgettable journey with all of you. Although the story has come to an end, I also look forward to seeing the parallel universes everyone creates in their own writing, using words to mend the regrets he left behind.
