1968, a North Vietnamese doctor, her name was Thuy Tram Dang. She was a popular heroine who worked saving NVA soldiers from the battlefields. The communists would not let her marry her long time boyfriend because she was ‘too valuable’. She kept a daily journal  of which half of it survived to become a book and later a movie. She was killed at the age of 26 by American soldiers in ambush.
