day one of stealing my most hated teachers ties
Bet you in 2 months he's gonna be confused as hell
Friday Fives: Theives
I'm going to be ranking the best five thieves in fiction that I've consumed. I plan on having a Friday Five every Friday for five weeks or more. Not in any particular order.
1: Danny Ocean
He has an entire trilogy that placed him as the face of the heist genre.
2: Keyser Söze
He successfully manipulated several parties over the course of several months for the sake of winning.
3: Neil McCauley
Being honest, he could've been number one if he had any of his heists actually go right.
4: William James Moriarty (Moriarty the Patriot)
He has been pulling heists since he was a kid. Nuff said - Stan Lee 2018
5: Irene Adler (Sherlock Holmes's RDJ version)
She outsmarted the masterful detective and manipulated him several times in this one movie.
Reminder, this is only for media that I've consumed. Not all media ever made. They're certainly helping me as a writer.
Never mind that his father views magnets as an almost existential source of confusion, Trump Jr. is on track to benefit from them with the l
Frakin' Porch Pirates!
Last evening, I helped catch a porch pirate. I was talking to my brother on the phone, and looking out the kitchen window, when a head went past. For half a second, I was like, "Oh, the kids must be riding their bikes in the driveway." (We've given them permission to do so because we have a double-wide driveway, and it keeps them out of the street.) A tenth of a second later, my brain said, "Hey, dummy; that was no kid!" I moved to the back door, and saw this "dude" on a mountain bike. He circled around in the back of the drive, and looked into our carport. Then he rode back down the driveway, cut across our side yard, and stopped at my neighbor's porch. "OK; maybe this idiot was looking for their house," I thought. "They host evening/late evening get togethers from time to time." Then, as I watched, he reached onto the porch, picked up a large brown envelope with a black arrow on it (you know the company of which I speak), and began to ride off. I hobbled to the front window as he rode past, simultaneously telling my brother I needed to hang up with him to call the police and memorizing the guy's description. After getting off the phone with the police, I went next door to see if, perhaps, my neighbors had left something on the porch to be picked up. I mean... that could be the case, and I just called the police on the guy. As I approached the door, my neighbor came out, talking to the police on her phone. So, that answered that question. Within 10+/- minutes, a police officer pulled up. He informed us that they'd already apprehended the suspect, and then took our information. Long story already too long -- I know TL;DR. My neighbor got her stuff back, and the Meth head (the PD's description, not mine) was arrested. So, a little Thursday evening excitement. :-)

Speak Up?
The thing about it is those thieves are the kind of people who don't care that they're hurting the business, the community or even themselves. They're just bad people. It is futile to try to get them to understand. Speaking up against theft to people who don't steal is unnecessary, and speaking up against theft to those who steal does no good. The only way to stop them stealing is to put them away.
Not even 20 minutes into Season 6 and Adrienette have already committed a crime
