TBHK Chapter 130 Theory/Prediction
With the hiatus we have nothing to do but theorize, so here’s a bit of a crazy one (but it makes a bit of sense!)
The house shown here, Amane’s House, isn’t the house he knows from 1968, but rather 1969. The year he and Tsukasa die.
Here, the house says an item was "impounded" (差し押さえ), but this term can also refer to "foreclosure," and, placed so close to the entryway, it has me wondering if the bank is actually trying to repossess/foreclose on the home due to unpaid debts.
But, this doesn't make sense if it's 1968, right? I mean, the murder-suicide was clearly stated to have taken place in that home, in 1969, so how could their house be so close to being taken away a full year prior?
Given this context, I think Amane's words here: "No, this isn't right. This can't be happening." are even deeper than we thought. While yes, he is right to be shocked, but he time-travelled just before this... in my opinion the idea of travelling in time shouldn't give him such a visceral reaction...
No, what if it's not just that this is HIS house, but it’s different, ie—sake, trash, and “impounded” notice. That's because the Red House is showing Amane a glimpse into the future, HIS future.
But why would the Red House do this? What does it have to gain by potentially showing Amane a future where he kills his own brother? Wouldn't that just make him want to save Tsukasa MORE?
I think that's exactly what it wants, specifically, it wants Amane to snap and to do ANYTHING to save Tsukasa, all while playing right into its hand.
Why? Because of Nene. Nene has always been a variable the Red House/Entity has tried and failed to control. Just think, the first time it met her, she was immediately taken by it and imprisoned, but she escaped. Then, it deliberately tried to crush her, once again, she escaped. In the new timeline, the Entity through adult Amane tried to kill her, but she broke past its control. Lastly, the entity LITERALLY got control of her and made her kill her friends and yet she STILL escaped from it.
All in all, Nene is a threat to it, because she's something it can't control, and as we see, the Entity holds a grudge.
And let's think, what is the conflict right now between Amane and Nene? Their goals, and the fact Nene is lying to him (though implicitly), shes at a trolly problem, and deep down i think Nene knows she needs to restore the old timeline.
So, what I propose is that the Red House is planning to show Amane his future in 1969, where he kills Tsukasa, and his parents both die. Or simply how bad his life is in 1969, although I think it's more likely the house would show him EXPLICITLY that Tsukasa still dies.
AND WORSE, the entity is going to out Nene as plotting to make this future come true.
How? I still don't know, unfortunately, likely some mind game or hallucination/splitting them up. But I honestly cannot see another reason the Red House would transport them to this time, other than to get Amane to turn on Nene and end up (accidentally) falling for a trick, getting little Tsukasa sacrificed.
