my biochemistry notes in year 1 sem 1
topic: nucleic acids
year 1 semester 1 core modules
1. animal anatomy and physiology 🐶 - this module was one that i particularly enjoyed. it was really interesting learning about the basic animal anatomy and their functions. lab sessions (we mostly identified bone parts) were definitely what i looked forward to.
2. wildlife ecology & conservation 🦀 - initially, i was excited to study this module and although i still find this module enjoyable, the reports i had to write were almost impossibly tough :< i did enjoy practical sessions where we did hands-on activities involving marine organisms and plants.
3. basic microbiology 🦠 - not that difficult, however, there is a need to memorise (and understand of course) a couple of things. lab sessions were pretty fun and i loved it.
4. biochemistry 🧬 - handful of things to grasp, did struggle a little with this module. overall, it didn’t really interest me that much, but oh well, there’s always that one module.
5. principles of inorganic & physical chemistry 🧪 - basic chemistry that was simple at first, but gradually became harder. a pretty easy to grasp module. got a little sick of doing titrations over and over again tho hehe.
first post, let’s go!!
i created this blog in hopes that i will improve my grades and be inspired by other students studying the same course as well as those who are already veterinarians/veterinary technicians.
i will also only be updating from semester 2 of my course and will occasionally post throwbacks of semester 1.
i pray this won’t flop
