"Thank you for joining me for karaoke. I know it's not for everybody, but I appreciate you tagging along." Yasmin says to her friend she invited out. "Do you think you're going to sing too, or just watch?" She asked. @rededgerpstarterblog

"Girl I got you. We are absolutely singing our hearts out tonight. The only question is what song are we singing?"

"Tell me about it. I finished my tour just in time for this Japan trip. I may still be living out of a suitcase, but at least I'm in the same place for more than forty-eight hours."

"Would you reject someone if they asked you in public?" He asked.

"If I didn't want to marry the guy, then yes."

"No. I'm not scared." He teased back with a grin. "I would just rather be in my own bed instead."

"Where's your sense of adventure? Do you know how many people you could totally fuck with right now?"

Lucas laughed softly and nodded his head. "You're definitely right about that, but I'm sure someone will say something sooner rather than later. Do you agree?"

"That's true. Secrets never stay secret for long. Someone always cracks, or an outsider reveals them."

"There is something seriously wrong about whatever the fuck just happened there." Jax said with a laugh as he watched a guy get rejected for a proposal. "Oh fucking well, better him than me." @rededgerpstarterblog

"Oh I don't know. There's something poetically sad about a guy putting his heart on the line, even if he does get it stomped on."

"How many people do you think are going to hook up during this black out?" Lucas asks Veronica with a chuckle. "I'm just curious, considering that this is a make or break event that the mayor hosted." @veronicahale

"More than we may realize." Veronica stated. "This is the perfect event to sneak in a make-out session with someone without the whole world watching. Hell, I wouldn't be surprise if there was some steamy sessions going on behind others backs."

"I don't know, Veronica." Nash said as he took a sip of his water. "I don't mind this black out. I just wish it'd be over soon, you know?" He asks with his eyebrows raised. @veronicahale

"You scared of the dark, Nash?" Veronica asked in a teasing tone. "Don't worry, I'll keep you safe."

"I'm sorry, what makes you think you can talk to me like that? In my own store?" She cocked her head to the side and looked at the person who was being rude to her. "You can either 1) Leave my store and not come back or 2) Talk to me in a respectable way and I'll do the same." She said and rolled her eyes when they left. "Asshole." She said and looked at her friend who came in and said, "Is it too early to start drinking?" @rededgerpstarterblog

Veronica let out a soft snort as she leaned against the counter, arms crossing loosely as she watched the door swing shut behind the rude customer. “Wow,” she muttered, raising her brows. “Bold of them to walk in here like they pay your rent.” She glanced back at Daphne, a crooked smile forming as she reached over to tap the counter twice. “Honestly? I think you showed remarkable restraint. I was about two seconds away from offering to escort them out myself.”

"I had someone ask me how I felt about the new Wuthering Heights movie coming out and when I told them I was indifferent, they asked me if I knew Jane Austen and if I did, how would she feel about it. I'm offended that they think I'm that old, but that was also really funny at the same time." @rededgerpstarterblog

Veronica let out a low laugh, shaking her head. “First of all, the absolute audacity. Asking if you knew Jane Austen like she used to borrow sugar from you?” She smirked, crossing her arms. “You should’ve told them yeah, you and Jane used to workshop manuscripts over tea and you personally advised her to tone down the yearning. And also maybe gently remind them that Wuthering Heights wasn’t even written by Austen.” She arched a brow. “Wrong tragic romantic, babe. That one’s Emily Brontë. If they’re going to insult your age, they should at least get their 19th-century authors right.” Her smile softened into something teasing. “But for the record? ‘Indifferent’ is the most suspicious answer you could’ve given. That book is either obsessive, unhinged devotion or absolute emotional terrorism. There is no middle ground.”

"I know it's the middle of winter, but my God, this is like the perfect beach day." Nicole smiled and looked at the person she was with and smiled again. "Don't you think?" @rededgerpstarterblog

Veronica tipped her sunglasses down just enough to peer over the frames at Nicole, one brow arching as she glanced out at the water. “In the middle of winter? Absolutely not,” she said dryly, though the corner of her mouth betrayed her. “But I will admit… it’s suspiciously perfect. Like the universe is trying to distract us from something.” She let the sun hit her face for a second longer before looking back at Nicole. “If this is winter, I’m scared to see what summer’s planning. But yeah. I’ll give you this one. It’s a perfect beach day.”

Veronica let out a soft laugh, shaking her head. “Imagine being annoyed that someone doesn’t want to live in a sunburned, dehydrated nightmare surrounded by drunk people and bad decisions.” She tilted her head slightly, studying him. “Honestly, though? Good for you. Seniority should come with perks, and not babysitting half the town while they pretend electrolyte packets count as self care.” A faint smirk touched her lips. “Besides… you skipping the festival circuit means Red Edge keeps its favorite EMT close to home. I’d call that a win.”
