Of all the levels in Postal 1. Which one's your favorite?
EZ Mart!
drew postal dudes
idk
Hey guys! Love your games! I just wanted to ask, I believe I saw concept art of the Postal Dude from Postal 1 in a newspaper about the game, do you have links to any more?
Sorry, all we have is the newspaper one and the original Postal Dude concept, here.
Hello RWS, thank you very much for cheapening of your game POSTAL 1 on Steam, I've enjoyed it much! But I want to ask you something... What happened to the Postal Dude after POSTAL 1 events when he's gone mad? In POSTAL² he's back in normal life. He has wife, trailer, dog... "work". Please explain this...
If you’re wondering how he eats and breaths, and other science facts, just repeat to yourself “It’s just a show and I should really just relax”.

The Special Delivery expansion levels are now relegated to a separate campaign option in the menu due to popular demand. The HUD status bar now displays the required percentage of hostiles to eliminate at all times for convenience The crosshair is now a floating crosshair instead of the old ineffectual lock-on crosshair and is enabled by default. Proper widescreen aspect ratio and monitor support.
And it’s on sale on Steam! Check it out!

I had a dream I met The Postal Dude last night and I wanted him to autograph a certificate or something in a train station then he just faded away and I was like ‘oh’
We’ve all been there.

RWS Internship
We are looking for talented and motivated individuals to become a part of our team!
At Running With Scissors, we are a group of passionate developers who are lucky to be able to make what we want without publishers dictating what our end product should be. We value and respect our fanbase and now look to them to expand our numbers to assist in maintaining our on-going POSTAL 2 support as well as help us with exciting new projects!
We keep an open and dedicated relation with the community as nearly everyone currently working at RWS began either as a community modder or did a 6-12 month internship with us first. We do this to ensure we find only the individuals who are genuinely enthusiastic to work for RWS, love making video games, and strive to be able to enter the industry. To date, everyone that has successfully completed their internship has been taken on, and we have been able to offer those who didn’t recommendations that helped them progress in their careers. It’s a mutually beneficial situation and a great and rare opportunity for you to kickstart your career in game design with the coolest devs on the planet!
Regardless of where you live, your current place of residence in the world is not a restriction! Many of our full-time staff work remotely which means they have less distractions and can work the hours that best suit when they’re feeling at their peak creativeness. Despite the many miles and time zones separating us, we still remain a close-knit group by effectively communicating as a team through instant messaging and regular video call meetings. . This is a great opportunity for: -Recent college graduates who have acquired some solid base skills and are looking for a remote internship .
-Those who mod games for fun that would like a chance to be involved in a commercial product on Steam.
-Current self-employed contractors who wish to receive something more secure and be part of a team on a longer term.
It is not really suited for: -People who don’t embrace video games and its accompanying culture. You don’t necessarily have to identify as a gamer, especially if you are a 2D artist, but we hope you can share the enthusiasm that has built RWS’s titles.
-Those that are used to industry office working environments, having little familiarity with being a part of the general modding community.
-People who are not accustomed to using forums and instant messaging as a way to maintain constant communication with a team on the internet.
-Those with no experience in development. You must already possess a solid foundation in the skill set you are applying for.
Positions available
Note, you will have to supply your own equipment and software. Those that are with us long term can apply for help in this regard.
-POSTAL 2 modders As you may be aware, we have continued to support POSTAL 2 with updates since its release on Steam in 2012. If you have a long history in modding for POSTAL 2, we’d be delighted to welcome you into our team to help us maintain and further improve the game into the future.
Those that can code in UScript or have advanced level editing knowledge are desirable.
Those familiar with modding in similar UE2-powered titles such as Killing Floor 1 and Unreal Tournament 2004 are also highly suited here. You’ll be glad to know our editor has been vastly updated compared to what you’ve worked with in the past, offering a faster streamlined workflow and greater ease of use!
You will be brought in to our internal developer forums and have access to our entire team for development assistance and advice as we target your efforts for official updates.
-2D artists We need some Photoshop (or your preferred art program of choice) wizzes! If you have some or all of these skills, get in touch! -Capable of traditionally hand drawn art -Capable of creating art digitally -Capable of creating textures based on UV map templates
-3D artists We need Maya / Max users to help us create 3D assets and characters for a brand new project. You must be able to make your own UV maps and template textures. Also having level editing knowledge in UDK / UE4 is advantageous but not essential.
-QA and support lead
This duty will prove to be a large responsibility and could very well lead to a paid position sooner rather than later. The lead QA will be responsible for monitoring the Steam forums and other sources for reported user issues, appropriately recording them on our bug tracker, and ensuring that QA members are informed of the relevant matters for due testing. Once sufficient diagnostic information has been collected, it can be reported to the project manager and passed on to our coder or other appropriate team member for a fix. Once the fix is in place, the lead QA will verify its efficacy and confirm it is prepared to go public. Test twice, patch once!
Previous experience with the POSTAL games is a definite advantage, although you’ll be overseeing more than that soon after as we move on to a brand new IP!

Public POSTAL 2 Roadmap
Hello again, POSTAL fans! We’ve kept POSTAL 2 and its SDK regularly updated since it was released on Steam back in 2012, and we plan to keep updating it for the foreseeable future. For the full doozy of changelog so far, see here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1uMkQnS0HhwssnHJM2Vy5vtIP-AfhDUQ0mXvPZZSEy_s/edit In this thread, we’d like to share our short and long term plans for the game and offer you, the community, a chance to make requests. Common and easily feasible requests will be considered. Some requests may add via Workshop rather than the game itself. Our future road map is split into two areas: items we will definitely undertake and items we are considering. We are not giving any ETA’s until we know for certain we can hit them. When we know, we’ll add the dates in this top post. Before going any further, we wish to address some common requests that will not be attended to: There won’t be Co-op We know many have requested some form of co-operative play. As it stands, the netcode for P2 is not fit for this purpose, and there are many other hurdles we don’t have the resources to overcome for a free update of this caliber. Rest assured, though, we have heard your voices, and co-op will be a major part of our next big POSTAL game when we get going with that. As for the PvP multiplayer, we decided to cease official support for it after 2011 as the player base is less than 50-100 these days, compared to the many thousands spending time in singleplayer. The multiplayer in its current state is flawed with netcode dating back to 1999. It also has various issues on modern PCs. We can’t remove the load zones This is not a possibility on this engine. However, on any PC from the last seven years, the load zones only take a brief amount of time, so hopefully it should not prove to be a massive inconvenience. Now on with the good news! Confirmed updates These are items we are currently working on or will be in the future: Mac POSTAL 2 updates With Linux now in line with Windows, we are moving on to the Mac build. This will bring Workshop, achievements, and other improvements from the changelog to Mac users. You’ve been graciously waiting for some time, and we appreciate your patience as we finally bring these updates to you. Paradise Lost for Mac and Linux The delay here was due to performance not being satisfactory on Unix, so we decided to hold it back until we could improve it. These optimizations will also greatly help the base game and PL players on Windows. Performance improvements for Windows, Mac, and Linux We will be putting out performance updates for POSTAL 2 that will benefit both Windows and Linux (and in the near future, Mac). While performance is not terrible by any means on any CPU above 2.0ghz, we want to make sure you guys and gals are getting as smooth an experience as possible! Native Steam Controller support Once we get our hands on one, we’ll integrate it as soon as we can to make SteamOS integration as great as we can get it. Better inventory management With PL’s release, we included a weapon selector to make finding what you needed to go POSTAL with easier. We hope to similarly improve the way inventory items are handled. Russian language support for POSTAL 2 Long requested and now confirmed for P2 and hopefully (thanks to a community effort) Paradise Lost in time. Other languages are unlikely at this stage, though, at least for audio (we are considering subtitles for other tongues). Accessibility options We plan to includes subtitles, text color change options, and other things to make the game more accessible to those with various disabilities. More editor updates We’ve substantially updated the Unreal 2 level editor over the ones included with games like Killing Floor and Unreal Tournament 2004 and will continue to add updates to improve its ease of use and utility to community modders. Eternal Damnation Many have asked if the Eternal Damnation mod for POSTAL 2 will be coming to Steam or Workshop and we can confirm it will! We’ve been picking away at this in the background for a while now. It will be a fully revamped and improved version of the mod that came out in 2006 and will be released for free in the coming months. Possible updates Based on demand, will update this section with other feasible and popular community requests. Show your support below! VR support Once things get going in this area regarding VR and Oculus Rift, we’ll consider integration with P2. That’s it for now! If you have any requests, please make them in the comments below, and we’ll consider adding them to the possible update section. Also, if you enjoyed POSTAL 2 and appreciate our continued support for it, we invite you to leave us a review on Steam! Don’t forget to throw Paradise Lost a review too if you happen to own that as well! Best, Running With Scissors Team
