heartbreaker

Teddy was getting into a project for Illiana and for himself, but more for Illiana. He wanted to build a bigger closet for them, so that she could fit more of her things in. He wanted to make her feel more at home. So he asked for a friend to help out with that. “Thank you so much for coming to help out. I’ve gotten all of the wood cut, stacked up, sanded, and now we can just get it all dolled up. But I don’t know what color the closet should be besides white… what do you think?” He looked over at his friend as he stood in the closet while drinking his beer.@rededgerpstarterblog

"Well what's Illiana's favorite color?" Dain raised a brow at Teddy. "You could paint it that color, or do a theme."

"There are days when I really love my job, but today is not one of those days. It fucking sucked today and no, I can't legally elaborate. Hopefully soon I can." @rededgerpstarterblog

"Well since you can't legally elaborate, how about you get a drink and just relax?"

He laughed. "Oh trust me, I have thought about it, but that just looks bad on me and I actually really like my job." He looked at Dain.

Dain chuckled. "I guess that's fair." He said with a nod. "Besides you waiting for summer to be here, how are you doing?"

"Now that the weather is getting warmer, I am going to be outside more and I will not apologize if I start day drinking and patying." She laughed. @rededgerpstarterblog

"I mean, I don't think there's anything wrong with that and I will gladly join you when I can."

"I know the school year is almost done because these college students are acting out more than usual." He laughed. "They're like kids on Christmas Day." @rededgerpstarterblog

"See, that's why I could never be a teacher, or a professor, I'd just let them talk and not learn, that's on them at that point."

"Festivals are a pain in the fucking ass, I hate when the festival goers come through town because they are just so fucking shitty to everyone."

"Honestly, so do I." Dain said with a laugh. "They're a real pain in the ass no matter when they come through."

"Oh that is so smart, the less time you're in a festival, the more time you can actually be a member of Red Edge." Maren teased him with a smile.

Dain laughed. "That is actually something I want to do. I always feel like I miss out on so damn much."

"I mean, you do, but I feel like a lot of people will be mad at you if you don't know how to be a bad ass."

Dain laughed. "Could you imagine how shitty I'd be at my job if I wasn't a bad ass?"

"Ugh I miss going to festivals." Elena laughed. "As a party goer though." She looked at Dain. "I take it the festival circuit is a lot worse when you have to work it, huh?"

Dain laughed. "Hey, I miss going to festivals as a party goer too, but there comes a time, we gotta put our hardcore party ways behind us." He laughed. "I don't hate it, but they get so exhausting."

Ivy chuckled " I love when that happens and just hate when bosses think they can just run over people. Just because your so good at your job, doesn't mean you can be Superman to everything. You need a break, " she nodded. " I'm proud of you for saying no," she smiled.

"Yeah, and I have worked more than enough music festivals, I do not want to work anymore." He said with a laugh. "Thank you, Ivy. How are you doing?"

Veronica let out a soft laugh, shaking her head. “Imagine being annoyed that someone doesn’t want to live in a sunburned, dehydrated nightmare surrounded by drunk people and bad decisions.” She tilted her head slightly, studying him. “Honestly, though? Good for you. Seniority should come with perks, and not babysitting half the town while they pretend electrolyte packets count as self care.” A faint smirk touched her lips. “Besides… you skipping the festival circuit means Red Edge keeps its favorite EMT close to home. I’d call that a win.”

"Yes and all of those mixed together makes working music festivals a fucking nightmare." He laughed. "I call that a win too, I am happy that I can call some of the shots when it comes to my own schedule, makes life a bit easier."
