Frame 1: In my homeland, Ymlac, women wear a special embroidered veil made of linen or silk. We call it a năframă. (In the Northern realms, a similar headdress is called a "намётка" ("namyotka"))
Frame 2: Năframă is more than just a headscarf. It's a symbol of marriage and protection. Your husband is the protector to whom you've entrusted your life.
Frame 3: But for me, my năframă became a symbol of the pain I had once and for all put an end to. And so, after leaving Ymlaс, I no longer wore this headscarf. (I was inspired by Romanian and Moldovan culture).

Это белорусский строй Западного Полесья, бытовал в ХІХ — ХХ вв. в Брестском районе нынешней Брестской области (местечко Домачево, сёла Черск, Рудня, Липники).

Also, this costume existed in the adjacent lands of Poland (strój podlaski nadbużański) and Ukraine (волинський стрій).

🇱🇻 This is Veronica from the Latvian village of Nīca. Nīca is located in the historical and cultural region of Kurzeme (Courland), in the west of the country, by the Baltic Sea.
🇱🇻 Это Вероника из латышского села Ница. Ница расположена в историко-культурной области Курземе (Курляндия), на западе страны, у Балтийского моря.
🔺Костюм Ницы особо примечателен однотонной красной юбкой с орнаментом. Также он состоит из «короны», белой блузки, жилетки, наплечной накидки «виллайне», по-особенному зацепленной на плече круглой фибулой «сактой» — одним из самых ярких элементов латышского костюма.
▫️Ещё один важный предмет в латышском костюме — вязаные варежки! Узорчатые рукавицы у латышей — это такое же творчество, как гобелен или картина, один из самых дорогих сердцу подарков.
"Одевают невесту к венцу — надевальщица головного убора получает варежки. После венчания церковный староста получает богато украшенные варежки, а органисту варежки оставляют на алтаре.
Помогаешь невесте выйти из повозки или саней — получи варежки. При въезде во двор мужа молодая жена бросает варежки во двор. Входит в дом - кладет варежки у печи. Специальные варежки вязали для обряда снятия невестиного венка".
