Theodore had heard that much from his time around the Institute, only he hadn’t known he was a demon. It also struck him that he probably touched on a topic that he shouldn’t have, that his lover may not have completely been over his late wife and daughter. Though at times he wish he were a female so he truly could make Viper as happy as he wanted. As much as he hated being compared to his lover’s late wife, he couldn’t help but sink in the jealousy that he can’t ever satisfy Viper like she had.
"…In other words, you would have preferred me as a woman, right?" he sulks to himself, glancing away so the other wouldn’t have to witness his unsightly, jealous self. "A family would have made you happier, and I can’t give you that, I know."
Stop. Stop, oh dear lord, stop.
"After all, you were happiest with your wife, right?" he hits it right where he knew hurts most, and Viper could have hated him for it. His heart hurts.
Despite everything, Theodore just can’t help being a little uneasy about how Viper felt about him. He can’t help but feeling that he said what he did out of an impulse, changing him too- Everything.
Viper's eyes narrowed at everything the other was saying. He was angry? Jealous? He was the one who brought it up... The demon gave a sigh. Perhaps this was a bad idea after all. He changed Theo too young... now he was stuck at that age. Perhaps he should have waited...
"Nay." He said without hesitation. "Aye, I was happy with my wife. She was my first love. But if I did not wish to be happy again, why would I have changed you, asked for you to stay with me forever? You make me happy Theo. Just because you can't give me a child, does not mean I am not happy."
He paused though. Would that be enough. He seemed really worried about making him happy... perhaps he could pitch the idea of Nomi... "There is an angel I know... a brother to a friend of mine. He has the power to grant a male the ability to get pregnant. If you are truly worried about it. However, even if you do not want to do it, you still make me happy."
