The thing about spn that is hard to watch imo is that its a show that supports the existence of the supernatural and the spirit world but it distinctly lacks spirituality and soulfulness

Its the byproduct of white ppl trying to portray the supernatural world through a nihilistic lens and the white supremacy encoded in the monster killing genre as a whole. Ancient gods of different cultures- no matter how important and powerful they are to their respective cultures, are just more monsters to kill. Theres no sacredness or respect given to the gods of the cultures they belong to, theyre just more things to conquer, more evil to rid the world of.
