i’m still alive.
I can see that. Are you busy?
you can’t bandage a rib, moron.
Most commonly, broken ribs are treated with ice applied to the injured area to reduce swelling, and although I’m sure you bypassed the option of painkillers it’s quite integral to the healing process that one gets plenty of rest to allow the body to mend itself. It’s also advisable to frequently take the deepest breaths one can in order to prevent any damage to the internal tissues, which can lead to a punctured lung or pneumonia or any number of similar, unpleasant things, and is the main reason the medical practice of bandaging ribs was discontinued.
While your point is valid, your overall argument remains incorrect.
internal breaks like that don’t have a lot you can do for them.
Well, that’s your opinion. Unfortunately it’s an incorrect one, but it can’t be helped.
i guess?
I’ll take that as a no, then.

collarbone. a rib.
And you took proper care of them, yes?
only two.
Of course. Which ones did you break this time?
apology accepted.
how was your vacation.
Mm.
Uneventful and fairly tiring. It was more of a business trip than a vacation. And how have you been? I hope you haven’t broken any bones in my absence.
i’m not exhibiting animosity. i’m not exhibiting anything. like usual.
I see. Forgive me for assuming, then.
usuiradar:
you mentioned excuses earlier, maybe you want one now?
I don’t know what you’re referring to. Feel free to clarify.

perfectly capable of living a fulfilling life all by my onesie, thanks.
... Ah.
I don’t suppose there’s a reason for your animosity?
thanks for looking out for me, buddy.
usuiradar:
yeah, it was a lot quieter.
Poor thing. You must have been bored.
nothing at all. i repeat: is there something you needed? you seemed to pop up with impeccable timing as i brought my network back up to speed. is there something wrong with your allmate that your infinitely deep pockets and a small-time criminal can fix?
Quite the opposite, actually. Hersha is doing quite well, thank you. As for my timing, I suppose we’ll call it luck. I’ve been out of the country for some time now. I see my absence has been noted.
you’re pretty good at those, huh.
Correct me if I am mistaken, but it seems you’re trying to imply something. Is there something you needed to discuss?

vendalvirion liked your post:tfw you kill your own network on accident because…
can i help you with something.
I am sure I could come up with something if you need an excuse.
Noiz himself wasn’t really terribly ‘in’ with the club scene; though his mannerisms and certainly his wardrobe would suggest otherwise. He never went out of his way to go to them, but he’d stopped in one or two on work-related errands so he was at least familiar with what Platinum Jail had to offer as far as they were concerned. He enjoyed music on his own terms, in his home and played at near-deafening levels through a pair of sleek headhones. Still, not adverse to the idea, he was willing to accept this token of what he hesitated at all to call ‘good will’ and go along quietly. It was… a nice gesture. And he’d earned it for all the bullshit he’d put up with being practically immobilized.
"Oi," he mumbled, "you don’t even know my music taste." But the fact that he’d mention it was bizarrely humbling. "Sounds good though." He moved to the back of a chair, picking up Usagimodoki and clicking the cubes onto his belt, as well as retrieving his hat, which he snugged onto his head. Looking back towards the older blonde, he nodded. "Yeah. Let’s go."
Locking his apartment after them, he stretched and sighed, taking a deep breath of the night air. Fresh air. He’d barely taken a step outside since last week, and man he was sorry to say he missed the outdoors. Nothing much was special about being outside from inside, but anyone was susceptible to cabin fever. Especially someone that stubbornly refused to understand why, just because he was injured, he couldn’t move around freely. Not being able to feel it was evidently an argument that wasn’t good enough.
"You don’t seem the clubbing type," he noted as they walked, keeping pace with the older blonde. "Why the change of heart?" A small grin crept onto his face. "Did I really complain that much?”
The lack of complaint was surprising, as well as something Virus was very much unaccustomed to, to the point that he'd come to constantly expect the opposite. As such, it was also extremely pleasant. Perhaps there was even a trace of genuine contentment in that plastic smile of his.
And after that mumble, well. The expression that formed on Virus' face was suspiciously similar to a genuine grin. "You have a music tag on your blog. Did you think I wouldn't notice?" He waited until they were heading out the door before adding, "I'm quite knowledgeable about all of your tags, as a matter of fact. I particularly like the most recent post in mine." Hands folded behind his back and he set off down the sidewalk, his step light and his smirk visible only when he passed under streetlights.
The question received an immediate answer. "Yes." He let that answer stand on its own for a moment before elaborating. "... I do this on occasion. I simply thought you might like to get out and do something interesting now that you've healed. After all, you complained so very much. It was painfully clear how much you had to endure. I think you've earned a reward." He glanced at the boy, a smirk that might be described as coquettish tugging at his lips. "Don't you?"
