he  heard  her?  panic  flickered  in  inori’s  eyes.  no  one  was  supposed  to  be  there–-  especially  not  now.  the  ritual  had  already  drained  her  more  than  expected  and  failing  halfway  through  only  made  things  worse.  his  presence  wasn’t  just  unexpected–-  it  was  a  dangerous  distraction.  “  i  …  it’s  not  something  you  can  help  with.  ”  she  said  quickly,  her  voice  tight.  “  trust  me  on  that.  ”  the  energy  in  the  room  still  crackled  with  the  remnants  of  her  outburst.  angry  spirits  were  never  easy  to  deal  with  and  now,  things  had  just  gotten  a  lot  more  complicated.

       the  panicked  state  of  inori  in  front  of  him  puzzled  him,  a  woman  who  almost  always  seemed  very  collected  in  her  actions  and  yet,  now  it  was  like  she  was  reacting  to  things  there  wasn't  visible  to  the  eye.   "  try  me,  wouldn't  hurt  to  see  if  i  could  help,  right  ?  "   squatting  down  next  to  where  the  femme  was  seated,  able  to  see  objects  and  items  that  most  would  used  in  rituals  but  that  was  new  seeing  her  associated  with  stuff  like  that.   "  mind  explaining,  just  a  short  summary,  of  what  this  is  ?  "   signaling  with  a  hand  in  front  of  him  while  brown  hues  are  fixating  over  on  her,  slightly  worried  as  nothing  good  ever  seemed  to  come  out  of  these  things.

when he utters her fake name, a hint of guilt washes over her, knowing he’s the one she owes her life to. but it’s better to be safe than sorry, and she still doesn’t know how much she should trust him. she nods at his pitiful words, aware that he means well, but somehow they only make her feel weaker. “good.” she responds when he tells her he’s already eaten, not wanting him to cater to her before he tends to his own needs. picking up the spoon from the tray, she doesn’t quite feel her appetite, but food is essential for her healing. even without a mirror to check herself, she knows last night has taken its toll, and she needs time and nutrients to recover. she blinks when he asks if she’s going somewhere, recalling that she’s heading to the neighbouring kingdom beyond the realms of her own, the one she’s meant to marry into. “i lost my map on the way.” she says, hoping it would buy her more time. maybe the accident she ended up in is a sign — perhaps she should return home and succumb to whatever fate has decided for her, but she doesn’t want to give up just yet.

     trying to figure a person out who wanted to be hidden, was probably the toughest task dohyun had been given in this life  —-  anna, or well ella, was currently being short of words and it was difficult to try to get a conversation started, knowing the primary reason was the shock of waking up after being knocked unconscious in the woods. luck wasn't really on his side with this entire situation.  " ah, i know my way around here pretty well if you remember the name of the town you were headed to ? "  plus, he probably also had a map or two laying around from stranders having also made a visit to his hut after his hunger ran wild, still amazed how he hadn't been figured out and had a bounty on his head or visitors with pitchforks and torches.  " not that you have to hurry onwards, you can stay here to regain energy for as long as you need. "  voice is warm and inviting while he's mindlessly fidgeting with digits at his lap, thoughts still trying to seek ways to get the princess to reveal her actual identity.

however,  dohyun  couldn't  quite  tear  his  eyes  away  with the  golden  irises  staring  at  him,  it  was  mesmerizing  in  the  most  beautiful  way  and  male  figured  he'd  have  to  ask  dahee  if  her  eyes  had  ever  done  that  before   —-   her  question  and  the  hand  resting  at  his  cheek,  however, pulls  him  out  of  his  trailing  thoughts,  drawing  a  chuckle  from  plush  lips  and  makes  him  lean  forward  to  press  the  softest  of  kisses  against  opposite  petals.   "  i  know  what  you  mean  and  i'd  be  delighted  to  do  it  with  you  again,  in  the  near  future.  "   nose  nudges  to  hers  at  the  last  four  words,  tossing  the  paper  to  the  coffee  table  after  having  removed  the  remaining  on  dahee's  bosom.   "  it  is  weird  you  saw  nothing  but,  i  doubt  it's  meant  negatively.  "   allowing  an  arm  to  wrap  around  her  shoulders  to  embrace  her  to  his  side,  churn  of  his  cheek  resting  atop  of  the  crown  of  her  head.   "  your  eyes   ...   they're  a  golden  color  right  now,  i've  only  seen  that  on  two  other  vampires  before.  "   voice  is  soft  as  it  leaves  his  lips,  not  wanting  to  overwhelm  dahee  with  delving  into  more  lore  of  their  species  but,  it  did  make  him  curious.

cloud found nothing more peaceful than writing music especially if he had dohyun around to help guide his thoughts. it wasn’t often that he allowed anyone to get close to him, but whenever he was around him he always felt safe and happy like he never had to worry about being perfect, he could just be himself. he wanted nothing more than to go home and melt into his blankets that in a sporadic moment of trying to clean up his music sheets one sliced along the side of his finger. he instantly hissed, his face scrunching up in discomfort. his bottom lip poked out as he searched around for a band aid, shock spreading across his face at how quickly the other had come over to him. ❝ im okay, really . . .❞ he blinked in surprise at the others actions, did he really just suck the blood off his finger? he nervously bit his lip, watchful eyes catching his gaze before he could look away. ❝ h-hey, what’s wrong with your eyes? ❞

       instincts  had  kicked  away  any  form  of  self-control  that  dohyun  had  held  with  a  tight  grasp  every  time  the  two  of  them  would  be  close,  always  able  to  hear  the  way  cloud's  blood  would  be  pumping  crazily  within'  his  vessel  and  now  the  scent  had  simply  pushed  him  over  the  edge.   "  m-my  eyes  ?  what's  with  them  ?  "   a  soft  chuckle  as  he  blinked  away  the  red  hues  back  to  the  dark  brown  ones  again,  a  thick  swallow  is  seen  being  made  as  male's  taste  was  savored  onto  his  tongue  now  and  it  took  everything  in  him  to  not  cross  the  boundaries.   "  do  you  have  any  band  aids  nearby  ?  "   looking  around  for  that  secured  first  aid  kit  always  hanging  near  the  doors  of  these  studios,  but  it  seemed  like  it  had  been  moved  elsewhere  from  this  exact  one.  so  instead,  dohyun  gently  pressed  pad  of  thumb  against  the  cut  to  stop  the  bleeding,  his  typical  happy  energy  having  changed  for  something  else  and  he  was  scared  cloud  was  noticing.   "  was  those  the  new  lyrics  ?  "   nudging  toward  the  dropped  sheets,  hoping  him  changing  the  subject  would  make  the  other  forget  about  the  exposed  eyes.

anna nods weakly, her guard still not entirely let down, but there seems to be no harm in accepting his kindness for now. she doesn't have any other choice, after all, given that she doesn't even know where she is and if it's even within the kingdom's confines at all. he is the only one she can trust — at least for the time being, and for that she is grateful. if it hadn't been for him, there's a high chance that she would've died in the cold and rotted away in the woods, a thought terrifying enough to make her shiver reappear. once he is away from her sight, she lets out a trembling breath that she didn't know she was holding, before the rest of her tears come surging out, each carrying the unspeakable fear she's kept inside for too long. it doesn't take long for him to return again, this time carrying a tray with a steaming meal. unaware of her hunger previously, the low grumble of her stomach makes it known, and a sneaky blush hints on her cheeks. "thanks," she squeezes a soft smile his way, the meal admittedly much more minimal than the decadent delicacies she has in the palace, but she's grateful nonetheless. fingers graze the edge of the tray nervously, still unaccustomed to being seen in such a vulnerable state. "have you eaten?"

     reappearing in the guest room he spots the evidence of her tears having caused a slight redness to the corners of the shape of her doll-like eyes, along with his hearing having picked up on the silent cries from earlier  ;  her blood still having made his senses heightened enough to pick up on these things.  " no worries ... i'm really sorry you have to go through this, ella. "  mentally hitting himself for having lost control so badly, especially since it was so unalike his nature to feed until the vessel would pass out. a thick swallow is seen evidently appear along the length of his throat, fingertips seen scratching at his nape before offering the femme a subtle smile.  " yes, i ate earlier ~ "  only minor difference was that it hadn't been the one presented onto her tray, instead it was in the confinements of her visible veins  —-  so vividly still hearing the way it was pumping around her entire body but, managing to push down the urges after having tasted her sweet liquid.  " were you supposed to be somewhere ? i could perhaps help you when you feel strong enough to travel again. "  the guilt eating him up for having basically kidnapped her here after attacking her ruthlessly, except the woman didn't know about that major detail  ;  thankfully so.
