put anything that should be scary, that's considered a monster or evil or anything like that, in front of gen and they will be so soft and not even flinch. anything "unloveable" or "unwanted"? they'll prove it wrong will make it a mission to even.

the thing abt gen is that they really are just...a concept and an entity and a glitch in the fabric of everything and anything and nothing, they shouldn't exist but she always will, her story has no final act but always has an ending, they can't die but she's never been truly alive, she has entire lifetimes that happen in a blink, she is not True Good or True Bad there is no concrete morality. yknow?

gen both intentionally and unintentionally uses the Big Big Green Eyes pout and plead for various Situations. the lil glowy thing they do is for maximum damage.

i love and adore both "Healing Through Love" and "Make Them Worse" dynamics equally in this chilis. like please yes try and turn gen's story into something undoomed but also i love to doom it even further. if that makes any sense??

having emotions bcs a chit chat with @pixieseer made me think about how gen will never truly die, they will exist beyond eternity, constantly going through their resets. could killing death stop them? perhaps. maybe. possibly. gen doesn’t know, which ultimately could be the root of it all. he’s the only thing she is truly afraid of and despite that, they don’t know if they truly fully completely want him gone. as i’ve said in other metas it’s a very complicated dynamic on both sides, because he does ! want them to keep trying to destroy him and also doesn’t. he’s obsessed but it’s an ancient kind of thing. a bond that cannot fully be fractured. it’s timeless, reality and universe reaching, its just… yeah.

something something it's actually very possible for gen to just say fuck it and let all the rage and grief and tragedy overtake them and just fucking lose herself to it. like when they use their soothing abilities it drains them, it's harder for her to use them for extended periods of time, while the corrupting/damaging (i can't figure out a better term rip) gives them strength and is so much easier to do. i think i've rambled abt this i probably have but like, gen has to actively choose to not let go of the light in them they have to hold it even when it burns them even when it feels fucking pointless.

Have i discussed why physical touch is incredibly important to gen and how her ability to soothe is connected to it and how being able to hold on to someone is a tangible reminder that she’s alive cause it lives in my head rent free.

like ive said before gen is not a personification of death or a reaper or anything, she's Something Else and the closest thing being that not alive but not dead space. the theoretical between state. limbo, purgatory, the veil, the light at the end, etc etc. a glitch in the fabric of everything that will always fray and unravel when attempted to be patched. appears to people in various forms but she isn't. death itself. not entirely. more The End. sometimes a kind one, a gentle one, a soft one. sometimes a chaotic one, a wrathful one, a searing one. sometimes one that just Happens.

know that i’m at almost all times vaguely thinking abt the duality of gen having so much love and light and soft and like. there always being a non zero chance of her purging all of that. like she is at almost all times just. inches from losing it all. she is actively choosing or fighting off the void inside of her. gen doesn’t have to be soft, soothing, warmth in a tiny package. like she very much does not want to be anything but that but like. sometimes she does want to see it all burn. sometimes it creeps and creeps and rots and suffocates and snuffs out the light before she can wrangle it. sometimes she doesnt even try to. just. idk. she’s a mess. doesn’t even know what she wants to be. barely knows what she is. how she exists. why she does. just that she must.

because it's constantly living in my head: gen has weird blood like it's not human . so if a monster / creature or whatever y'know, decides to nibble or have a taste it's roughly equivalent to medical grade sativa or in some cases can be akin to lsd. do with this what you will.
