Today, we savor pasta with an "tousqui" sauce! In fact, the "tousqui" sauce is very easy to make: you take whatever is left in the fridge and make a sauce out of it. And this afternoon, I had leftover salsa, leftover chili, 2 carrots, 1 onion, a piece of sweet potato, leftover VegNature 3 Pepper & Chive cheese, 6 mini red and yellow tomatoes and basil. I put everything in the robot and I crushed to 'pulse'. I cooked my sauce until it reduced a bit and served over my pasta with a little plain VegNature and some fresh basil! Too good!  . . . A quick and delicious lunch! I bought this organic lentil soup meal and it is vegan friendly which is great! So, this afternoon, a lentil soup and 2 mini griled cheeses. For my mini griled cheeses, VegNature 3 Pepper & Chives, tomato, a new cheese that I am testing, a hint of Canada Sauce mustard, onion and my mixture of mushroom and chickpea chick'n style! Today, for lunch, I wanted to make myself an artichoke and a tomato salad. After all, it's Friday! It really is very simple. Cut off the stems, the sharp tips of large leaves and remove the head of the artichoke by cutting a relatively thick slice on top of the vegetable. Place the artichokes in a saucepan and cover halfway with water. Add olive oil (optional), a lemon cut into large slices, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil then reduce the heat to medium and cook for 20 to 45 minutes depending on the size. To check if it's ready, pierce the rod with the tip of a knife: there should be no resistance. Serve with a tomato salad and a sour cream, Dijon mustard and curry sauce! A delight! . . . Aujourd'hui, pour le lunch, j'ai eu envie de me faire un artichaut et une salade de tomates. Après tout, c'est vendredi! C'est vraiment très simple. On coupe la tige, les bouts piquants des grosses feuilles et on retire la tête de l'artichaut en coupant une tranche relativement épaisse sur le dessus du légume. On dépose les artichauts dans une casserole et on couvre d'eau à la mi-hauteur. On ajoute un peu d'huile d'olive (facultatif), un citron coupé en grosses tranches, sel et poivre. On porte à ébulition puis on réduit le feu à medium et on cuit pendant 20 à 45 minutes environ selon la grosseur. Pour vérifier si c'est prêt, percer la tige avec la pointe d'un couteau: il ne devrait y avoir aucune résistance. Servir avec une salade de tomates et une sauce crème sure, moutarde de Dijon et curry! An ideal end-of-fridge meal: ramen! Coarsely cut tofu, the rest of my broccoli and mushrooms. I added cashews, pumpkin seeds, pine nuts, almonds, frozen kernel corn, a few drops of Maggi seasoning, red Thai spices, vegan Bumble Bloom ginger no-honey, salt and pepper. I sauteed it all for a few minutes with a half-half of VegNature butter and olive oil. Then deglazed with President's Choice Chickenless Broth. Let reduce for a few minutes and voila, all that remains is to add my ramen! Super delicious and quick to make! . . . Un repas de fin de frigo idéal : des ramens! Du tofu coupé grossièrement, le reste de mes brocolis et des champignons. J'ai ajouté noix de cajous, graine de citrouilles, noix de pin, amandes, maïs en grain congelés, quelques gouttes d'assaisonnement Maggi, des épices Thaï rouge, du faux-miel végane au gingembre Bumble Bloom, sel et poivre. J'ai fait revenir le tout quelques minutes avec un mélange de beurre VegNature et d'huile d'olive. J'ai ensuite déglacé avec le bouillon de sans-poulet Choix du Président. On laisse réduire quelques minutes et voilà, il ne reste qu'à ajouter mes ramens!
