I Ain’t No Monkey!
We take it back to the essence with this episode. Just Singodsuperor and The Almighty A.R. with no guests. This episode starts with us reflecting on the trajectory of the podcast so far, then goes to a story from Singodsuperior with him leading to an explanation of his name. From there we get into breaking down Hip-Hop from the year 2000 until now (including Wale, Kanye West, Cam'ron, Juelz Santana, the Diplomats, Kid Cudi, Drake, Futute, Def Jux, Bad Boy, Fetty Wop, and more). Our conversation then takes a turn and gets into more scientific topics such as evolution, religion, space, the universe, the multiverse, mathematics, Star Trek, movies, MMA, and so much more. Check it out.
Episode 27 - A Conversation With Gemstones
Demarco Castle, better known as Gemstones (fka Gemini)is a Chicago-born rapper and singer best known for his work on Lupe Fiasco’s first two albums, “Food & Liquor” and “The Cool,” featuring on standout cuts such as “Pressure” (along with Jay Z), “Dumb It Down,” and “The Die.” As a part of Lupe’s record label 1st & 15th, he built anticipation for his “Troubles of the World” album through critically acclaimed mixtapes such as “Untamed Beast” and “The Testimony of GemStones.” After striking out on his own and leaving 1st & 15th, Gemstones continued his lyrically dexterous, introspective, thought provoking music with “On the Road to Glory” and “Elephant in The Room,” which led up to his most recent effort, “Blind Elephant,” which you can purchase and stream on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Tidal, and other major retailers. On this episode, Gemstones tells his story. From coming up in Chicago, to almost getting signed by Will Smith, to meeting and creating with Lupe Fiasco through his ascension, to the moment he knew he had to make a change in his life, Gemstones drops jewels (pun intended) throughout the conversation. Unfortunately, the episode had to be cut short, but we appreciate Gemstones giving us his time, and you will too, as this is an episode that you must not miss. Episode 26 - A Conversation With Chill Moody & Wes Manchild
Chill Moody is a rapper from Philadelphia, PA. His buzz has increased throughout the years, and he has collaborated with and has the respect of some of the biggest figures in Hip-Hop. He’s also well known for his numerous sponsorships and his entrepreneurial ventures, such as his own line of water and his digital distribution label #nicethingsMUSIC. Oh yeah, he’s the Music Ambassador of Philadelphia as well. Wes Manchild is a producer from Philadelphia, PA. East Coast sample chopping skills coupled with Southern drum influences from his days at college in Atlanta give his beats that classic, but not outdated feel. Wes eschews throwing an artist a track here and there for a single, but prefers to make full collaborative projects with an artist. Chill Moody and Wes Manchild come together for such a project, the conceptual and dope “TV Made Me Do It,” which tells a story though various creative TV related references throughout the project. On this episode they discuss the making of the project, how they came together, the music scene in Philadelphia, and tell amazing stories about their journey through music. Don’t miss this one! “TV Made Me Do It” is available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and most other major digital retail and streaming services. Episode 25 - A Conversation With DJ Booman
DJ Booman is a legendary DJ and producer from Baltimore. His credentials are too numerous to properly summarize. He is an originator of Baltimore Club Music, and even if you’re not familiar with the genre, you’ve probably heard classic records he produced such “Watch Out For The Big Girl” and “Pick ‘Em Up.” He’s also a mainstay on the Baltimore Hip-Hop scene, and his work with Baltimore rapper Mully Man (“Bmore Go Harder” & “She Hurtin’ Em”) landed a spot in MTV’s rotation. On this historic episode of the Channel 10 Podcast, DJ Booman breaks down the origins of Baltimore Club Music and the early Baltimore Hip-Hop scene. We also get into production techniques, touring, his new projects, how he ended up producing the “Get Off (Baltimore Club Remix)” for Diddy through Kevin Liles, how he got production credits on Michael Jackson’s “Strangers In Moscow,” and so much more. You can’t miss this episode! DJ Booman stays in the lab, and you can check out everything he’s up to here: http://ift.tt/1QxViSw https://twitter.com/djbooman http://ift.tt/1MIwN7b

Episode 13 - Racial Audio Engineering
On Episode 13 we talk about our processes when it comes to creating projects, and the feeling of completing them. We then talk about the criticism Iggy Azalea is receiving and how more established artists get away with various blemishes in their careers. These established artists we primarily talk about are Eddie Murphy and Snoop Dogg and their interests in reggae. Finally, we conclude with “racial audio engineering” and focus on differences between bass in Top 40, Urban, and Reggae.

More than 2 million Americans are diagnosed with skin cancer every year. And even though more and more people are using sunscreen each year, the incidence of skin cancer continues to climb world wide. This fact alone has to make you think – do sunscreens really provide skin cancer protection? Did you know that 4 different studies indicated a higher risk of malignant melanoma among individuals who used the most sunscreen! So why is this? The answer is TOXIC CHEMICALS in the sunscreen. According to research from the EWG: sunscreen ingredients absorb into the blood, and some have toxic effects. Some release skin-damaging free radicals in sunlight, some act like estrogen and disrupt hormones, and several can cause allergic reactions and skin irritation. The FDA has not established rigorous safety standards for sunscreen ingredients. Sunscreens haven’t been regulated since 1978 in the USA, and the SPF factor only tells you how effective a sunscreen is against UVB rays which cause sunburn. Chemical sunscreens don’t sit on the surface of the skin – they soak into it and quickly find their way into the bloodstream. They scatter all over the body without being detoxified by the liver and can be detected in blood, urine, and breast milk for up to two days after a single application. That would be just fine if they were uniformly safe – but they’re not. Sounds pretty unsettling, doesn’t it? But there’s more, chemical sunscreens function by absorbing UV light. In the process, some may get used up and mutate. Some generate DNA-damaging chemicals called “free radicals.” These may lead to cancers. I’m pretty negative about chemical sunscreens, and while they are not proven to cause cancer, “Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.” So what type of sunscreen should you be using? Part 2 of this post coming up! #sunscreens #sunscreen #skincancer #cancersucks #breastcancer #fuckcancer #cancer #chemicals #surfer #sunworshipper #saltlife #environmental #motherearth #fda #nytimes #wakeup #sunburn #organicliving #organiconly #organic #vegansofig #veganlife #vegan #healthyliving #govegan #puravida #livefree #surfriderfoundation #medical #doctors
