Re: lime crime- there was also a sketchy situation with the ingredients listings on some of the products so that might even raise a question as to wether it's really vegan

I love this new Wet n’ Wild liquid lip! The color is “Give Me Mocha.” I usually find the texture of liquid lips totally unbearable but I love this one. It was $4.49 at Target. I will definitely get more of these in different colors! Can’t go wrong for the price.

I thought limecrime was vegan?

They are. However, many people have chosen not to support the brand due to its sketchy past in terms of both product quality and customer service, and because of the racism displayed by the brand and its CEO, Doe Deere. There is plenty more easy to find information out there about it if you’re interested in learning more. Just google “lime crime controversy” or something similar, and you will get a plethora of articles about it.

It is vegan! :) If you check the list of non vegan products in their FAQ, it is not listed there. Here is a handier, better sorted version of the same list. If you’re referring to the ingredients list on the eyeshadow’s page on their website, don’t worry. Colourpop uses the same ingredients list for all of their shadows, and carmine is in the [+/-] section, which means that the product may or may not contain those ingredients. A lot of companies use that kind of ingredients list, which is often why they have lists of specifically vegan or not vegan products.

do you know of any dupes for the venus palettes by lime crime i like the colours but do not want to support them

Ok, sorry this has taken me so long to answer. I had a LOT of trouble finding a couple of the shades.

I could not find any vegan full palette dupes, but I’ve gone through and found the closest individual shadow dupes I could find. I found multiple options for some shades, sometimes because there were plenty of good dupes, but with Venus and Muse because I could not find anything exactly matching them, so I’ve included the ones that are closest, and people can decide what they like best.

OSEA Malibu skincare comes in glass, Mullien & Sparrow uses glass and tin, some 100 Percent Pure products are glass/tin, Lush Pots are plastic but can be brought back to the store to be recycled (if you bring 5 pots in at once, you get a free face mask)!
