One of the largest and most luxurious in the Middle East, the Talise Ottoman Spa at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray mesmerizes guests with its opulent marble architecture and over-the-top facilities. In keeping with the hotel’s theme, the 8,000 square meter facility oozes Turkish opulence through its high domed ceilings, majestic columns, and grandiose chandeliers dangling above the baths.

The multi-awarded complex is set over several floors and includes a staggering array of treatment and steam rooms, exquisite saunas, and lavish thalassotherapy pools – all connected by beautiful marble archways and candle-lined corridors infused with exotic, calm-inducing scents.

Nevertheless, its most spectacular feature is the grand central Hammam – the biggest in the Middle East, where rituals include precious ingredients such as 24-carat gold, Arabian roses, or black olive soap. But more than just your average spa, Talise has three of them – all clad in pristine marble, dark woods, and stunning murals, as well as whimsical floating baths, exotic Thai gardens, adventure showers, and unique snow rooms that feel more like the Arctic than Dubai.

Design-wise, the latest addition to Hideout's repertoire of eco bamboo homes is a treasure trove of playful touches. A hanging net above the pool provides a dreamy place to relax, a large round bed seems to float in mid-air, and sliding ramps serve as stairs, connecting the space's different levels while fulfilling all your Tarzan and Jane fantasies. There's also an outdoor shower, a chic bamboo swing, and an A-frame grass roof sheltering the lodge from the elements.

Fusing rock, glass, and rusted steel, the hotel’s architecture takes inspiration from the surreal surroundings, and so do its sleek interiors. There are 10 stand-alone suites, each entirely solar-powered and refined with thoughtful details like over-bed skylights, private plunge pools, and floor-to-ceiling windows framing the passing wildlife.

The same refined mix of old and new flows throughout the interiors, which are masterfully crafted in a restrained color palette, with both contemporary and vintage decor pieces, as well as an abundance of natural materials.

Housed in a sleek glass-walled structure, the double-height space is modern but welcoming, with neat light oak furnishings and smart lighting throughout. While the neutral color palette sets a calm tone, an offbeat mix of textures adds the right urban attitude to the ensemble. Envisioned by local design studio space+craft, the interior is a rhapsody of warm wood, cool metal, rough brick, and just a little bit of gloss.

Cool aesthetics aside, their coffee is a real highlight, with intriguing specialty blends and single-origin roasts for every taste. The coffee shop also serves a variety of healthy meals, from vibrant acai bowls to freshly made egg sandwiches.

A classy, contemporary take on the traditional Cycladic style, the architecture is an ensemble of white cubic volumes interspersed with dreamy turquoise pools and magnificent outdoor terraces. The interiors are earthy, polished, and minimal, with light oak furnishings and inspired craft details placed against an abundance of smooth white and beige surfaces.

From welcoming double rooms to romantic sea-view suites to exclusive butler-served villas with private pool, there’s an accommodation option for every taste and need at Blau PortoPetro Beach Resort & Spa - all bathed in glowing Mediterranean sunlight and contemporary comfort.

The pretty fishing village of Portopetro is only a short walk away and the setting couldn’t be more perfect, but it's the hotel's never-ending list of amenities and experiences that ends up being its biggest draw.

Carved into the island’s legendary caves and cliffs, the unique private villas making up the property are all dressed in soothing neutrals and natural materials, with black volcanic rock accents and sophisticated custom-made furnishings worthy of the pages of a design magazine.

Created by Takashi Yamaguchi & Associates, the interior design is sleek, fresh, and strikingly minimalist. Nods to tradition are balanced with contemporary concepts in order to connect guests with their destination.
