I think at some point in time we need to sit down and start explaining to artist who want to make a career out of art that there are FAR more options than just "living off of commissions" and "posting my art online and praying I get paid for it".

There's also far more options than joining a specific, difficult to get into industry.

I don't know where this idea that the only way to make a living off of your art online is to simply do commission work, become a social media star, or join an industry comes from. I've fallen into this pitfall before as well, but I don't understand how it came to be.

I broke out of this mindset, though after I started helping a working artist. She had been an artist for over 40 years and started at a young age, and her main source of income? Doing local craft and garden shows. She had owned a gallery, done gallery work, done charity work, and now mainly works in using upcycled materials to create all sorts of products.

I used to think that my only options as an artist were to become popular enough that people would commission me or just give me money via patreon, but that's not the case. You can sell at craft fairs and conventions, you can provide a specific service, you can create assets and asset packs people can pay for, and you can create all sorts of physical or digital products to sell... and that's just the tip of the iceberg!

If you are constantly turning art into a numbers game to see how you can make enough money by posting the right™ stuff online at the right time, you're only going to make yourself miserable.

The best way to make a living off your art has NOTHING to do with popularity, getting lots of engagement online, or besting an algorithm, it's all networking. It's all about finding the right people who want what you make. If all you focus on is your follower count and post engagement, you're just going to end up hating art.

It took me far too long to post my artwork again. Anyway, so I hopped back onto the full Bus Bloodfiend idea, and I've come out with the first of many Bloodfiend Sinners I hope to create. So let me introduce you to Yi Sang, the Playwright of La Manchaland.

After escaping N Corp, Yi Sang wandered about through the City, listlessly, without much reason to live. Arriving in the Backstreets of P Corp and purchasing an entrance pass to La Manchaland, the Priest noticed his immense misery, and offered to make him Bloodkin. Yi Sang accepted, and at first joined the employees of The Haunted: Bloody Mary. However, the need for blood was rising, and so Yi Sang was put in charge of his own attraction, an open air theater, where he was put to work writing and directing plays. The plays became surprisingly popular among the employees, especially, as assuming a role in the play allowed the Bloodfiends to forget that they were Bloodfiends for a time, and in doing so, relieved their thirst for a while. And so, the El Teatro De Sed was born, and the plays became increasingly large and extravagant, so as to maximize the number of actors. However, this placed great burden on Yi Sang's psyche, straining his sanity in order to create more plays, each larger and more complicated than the last, while also being entertaining enough for the visitors.

Ultimately, Yi Sang joined the rebellion of the Children against their Father.

As for the Kit, Yi Sang serves mainly a Support Role, and stacks his own Hardblood Variant, Hardblood Feathers. His S1 consumes Bloodfeast to create Hardblood Feathers and restores SP to the ally with the lowest SP. His S2 consumes Bloodfeast to inflict an enemy with 'Antagonist'. When an enemy with 'Antagonist' is hit by an ally's Skill, that ally gains "Protagonist' and 'Antagonist' count is consumed. His S3 will cause any ally with 'Protagonist' to perform a follow-up attack against a target that he hits with their S1. If he has enough Hardblood Feathers, they will instead perform their S3.

infinitely funny that a lot of new arknights players/people observing arknights from afar assume all of the anime characters have animal features because the local Evil Magic Rock Cancer has the conveniently marketable side effect of turning you into a furry. and then you get a few inches deeper into the lore and it's like, no, the animal features are entirely normal for this universe. all the anime characters are born with animal features because that's just what humans look like in this world. the Evil Magic Rock Cancer is an entirely unrelated thing that literally grows rocks inside their organs until they explode into dust. and THEN you get like a mile deep into the lore. and only THEN do you discover your original assumption was entirely factual. Evil Magic Rock Cancer really does turn you into a furry. it just did that so long ago all of society forgot about it. but like. the rocks very much turn you into furries. that's been true the whole time.
