Birthday RP - The Hound 🗻

Its been quite a while since X mansion burned down. Since his Mistress betrayed him, leaving him for dead. Since he'd died and been revived as an undead, unaging, warrior of revenge. Its been months. And yet... he still feels no closer to his revenge. No closer to killing Sienna. No closer to saving his daughter from her grasp. He'd caught up with her at points. Like when he broke into her mansion. Or when he'd first found out about his daughter and ended up 'killing' Siennas oldest daughter. But after that trying to find her had been nigh impossible. She's not scared of him, he's confident in that, but she doesn't want him near her.

He stares at the date on his phone. June 25th. His birthday. He's seventeen today... or he would be if he still aged. Maybe next year he'll want to celebrate, but for now... well it hadn't seemed worth mentioning to any of the few people in his life. A birthday is something Voss would care about and as far as The Hound is concerned, that won't be his name again till his prey is dead and gone.

Lily was in a stroller, the one year old was giggling and babbling away. Her ears flicked and the tail sways as she was chewing on her snacks.

Sienna had gone alone to shop, to get lunch and a coffee. Do normal mundane things for once since the mansion was burned and they moved and built a new one.

But her, pet, was stuck on her mind. She wanted him back- Victor wasn't enough anymore. She had to stay consistent on who she kept- there had to be a way in her mind to let him. Come, home.

Then the emotions of a bit of joy hit her- his birthday. It was today.

"Oh your meals already been paid for."

"...my meal? Are you sure?"

"Yes sir."

"O-oh. Okay. Thanks." He grabs the bag of food, looking around with fearful paranoia. No one he knows would do that in secret. No one except her. Not immediately seeing anyone, he darts out of the restaurant and toward a nearby park, clutching the bag so hard his knuckles turn white.

He can't go home. Not when she could be watching. And the thought of eating has his stomach doing flips. He reaches the park and darts up a tree, perching in it and looking around, trying to see if he was followed.

Sienna walked around as she picked it up. Looking for a second as she eventually, found him. Her eyes slowly trailed over him, seeing how much he's changed since that day.

A smile to her lips as she pushed the stroller over to the playground.

We'll play a game-

She let Lily out, the toddler runs around the smaller equipment as she squeals. Her tail sways as she was such a happy child. Her ear twitched as she felt someone stare.

His emotions swirl as he watches Lily. He doesn't know how to feel. Disgust for what she represents, for the ways he can see her mother in her. Jealousy for the warmth Sienna seems to have for the child, warmth he'd always wanted from her. But still... theres love there. She's his child. Family he'd never thought he'd get to have. And fierce protectiveness. He can't let Sienna ruin things.

He should move over to Sienna. Take advantage of Lily being distracted to go kill her. Slit her throat, start a fire, decay the body as fast as he can. But... instead when he jumps out of the tree he moves toward Lily. Creeping closer until he's right in front of her.

A chirp leaves her as she reaches a hand out, a shimmer of a flame follows as she marches over to him.

Her curls swayed, the duck theme her mom picked out was so precious. Her little duck clips kept her face clear, she had freckles that bloomed like hints of coal. Like a flame that was lit-

"Ba!" She calls out as she got close enough. She gently pats his face, feeling the fur and lack of here and there from the flames that engulfed Hound at one point.

"Lily... I doubt you remember me but, I'm... I'm your big brother." The lie spills out with just the tiniest feeling of truth. She's his daughter, no doubt about it, but... despite how experience has aged him far beyond his years, he still feels too young to call himself anyone's father. He shouldn't have to, he's still a kid. Besides, even if the evil woman wont agree, they do share a mother.

Sienna looks around as she couldn't hear her squeaky shoes. "Lily- my flower." She calls out. Curls swaying as she looked around the playground.

But the child was quiet as she made small flames, they felt a lot colder than the ones he produced. Cluelessly unaware of what this teen meant to her and vice versa.

"Alright sweetie, I gotta go have a chat with your mother... stay here, okay? I'll be right back for you."

He doesn't want to leave... still though, he creates a soulless copy of himself, handing Lily over to the copy. And to waive off some of his guilt he also makes a fox out of fire that quickly cuddles with the young girl, licking her face and nuzzling against her.

Hound frowns before taking a deep breath, jumping out of the tree, and walking toward where he last saw Sienna.

"Where is she Hound." She knows he has her- it was meant to go that way. Her heels thud on the ground as she tilts her head.

"Lily." She calls out. The little girl squeals at her name as she took a few steps towards the sound.

"Of course she will. Its not exactly hard to see we're family. She loves me already." He tries to sound confident about that, though a bit of doubt still creeps in. "...Besides. She's young. I'm sure she'll forget you once you're gone."

"You think I'll let you just take her- You didn't even want her. Why would you even be interested in her now??" She scoffs at him.

"She's still my daughter. She deserves better then you. She deserves better then either of us really... but I'd rather go with the lesser of two evils."

He glances over at the noise, directing his puppets to try and comfort the small girl, hugging her close, petting her hair and ears. He wishes he could do it himself... or at least provide better direction to the lifeless copy, but it will have to wait.

"You're not. Taking my child. I am not letting you!" She growls out as she tugs his head back.

He shoves Sienna off him, spikes of storm growing to stab into her side as he scrambles to his feet again.

Norman runs his weekly diagnostics, a habit he’s developed to make sure his body is functioning properly. The problem? For the first time in years, the test results aren't coming back normal. There have been fluctuations, but an outright decline has never happened.

"Cell regeneration down by 10%, strength upper limits declined by 5%, speed down by 20%."

Norman stares at the computer screen and reruns the tests. The same results appear. It's not a glitch.

“No… the serum can't be failing me,” Norman mutters, "Not now."

Norman repeats the tests over the next two weeks, and the decline continues. The serum that gives him his strength seems to be failing. That's… concerning. Norman remembers all the injuries over the years, all the combat. It's not the abnormality that scares him; it's that without his abilities, he won't survive an assassination attempt or be able to defend his family.

He's been trying to find a solution, running tests and experiments in secret for days. No one can know this is happening; he can't let them all worry over him. After a few hours with no new ideas, he stands up and leaves the sterile confines of his lab. There must be a solution; he needs a change of scenery to find it.

Norman's out for a walk, eyes unfocused, staring ahead when he bumps into you, not even registering what happens. He mutters an excuse me before trying to pass without comment.

The stranger is startlingly similar looking to Normans sort-of-not-really-son Vince. If it werent for the widely different coloring and the fact this man looks a bit older you could think they were twins. They share the same fox like features, the same facial structure, and the same voice. Its strange.

It has nothing to distract it now though. It trots down the hall to the lab, on all fours of course, just like the dog its always been, and quietly slips in. It moves over to where Norman is looking over files and silently sits at his feet, the only indication its even there is its tails brushing against the mans legs.

Tony hadn't been entirely sure how to interact with Vince. he knew that the mutant was important to Bucky, so he wanted a relationship with them, but he wasn't sure how to go about starting one. So this seemed like a good an opportunity as any.

Valerie had been gone for about a month, but things had been weird with her before that. She hadn't really realised that she'd been being manipulated until it had snowballed into her going 'home.' But she had been. Small things, building up. Squid logos that morphed into the Hydra ones in adds on her TV, subtle enough she didn't notice late at night. Overheard conversations. Signs that had dug into her subconscious enough that when her handler had shown up at her apartment, two months into this, she hadn't even hesitated about going back with him.

Evil AU (Not Logan)

Logan was known on the streets for being the best Merc around. Able to get in and out of jobs quickly, kill without warning. His only problem was that he could be predictable. His temper would get the best of him.

There was one Crime boss who oversaw half the drug trade in the entire New York area, and Logan has been taking down their distributors one by one, all in the span of a week or so. So, obviously, they were mad.

They managed to get inside information to which person he was hitting next, and lead him into a booby-trapped room, releasing gas that made him pass out for a good while.

He woke up, metal ropes as thick as industrial cables tying him to a cold metal chair that was bolted to the floor of a small, interrogation looking room. His hands were tied in a way that meant if he ever extended his claws, they would only ever stab into himself.

He groaned, raising his head as he was finally coming to, realising what happened.. he opened his eyes to see the boss of the whole operation in front of him, smug grin plastered across their face.

"the fuck are you.. who are you?"

"You really should have worked on that predictability, you managed to get sold before you were even captured. It would almost be funny if it weren't so tragic." Theres just the slightest hint of sympathy in his tone before he clears his throat and fixes it. He writes a few more things down before looking up again.

"I don't need to.. you're.. you're a fucking assistant? You're like.. what, 10? Who's got you doing this shit? HYDRA?"

He gets cut off as the door opens, immediately shutting his mouth and standing up straighter. A man in a similar, but clearly nicer looking uniform to the mutant walks in, looking the younger one over with a scowl.

"We do not pay you to make small talk, Voss."

"I am not-"

"Keep the thing quiet. That is your job. It is quite simple. I'd hate to tell Kozlov of your incompetence."

The boy looks down, shaking his head in a somewhat timid manner. "No sir, that will not be necessary."

"Sorry sir, I'll teach him better."

"Good. I don't want to hear any more pointless chatter. Focus Voss."

His fingers start to flicker with light, and as he rubs his palms together a fireball starts to form, getting rolled between his hands.

The smirk is soon replaced with a slightly confused scowl, lip twitching as his teeth seemed to ache. This wasn't a fireball or anything of the sort.. what was he doing..?

He started wriggling as much as he could in the restraints as his whole body started to tingle, and then ache, and then burn. Not a fiery burn, a dying burn. His skin dying and replacing itself as fast as it possibly could. He clenched his eyes shut, as well as his teeth.

He tried not to yell, but fuck, it hurt. He exclaimed, whipping his head up as he tried to think the pain away.

His ears are pressed down flat to his head, and half his tails are tucked between his legs while the others wrap around his waist and are quickly hugged to his chest. He looks around the room with worry, scared that someone else is going to see what he's done, what he's capable of. He cant let them know.

"Minime..." He mumbles under his breath before moving further away and banging his head twice against a wall. "Stulte, stulte, stulte! Collige te! Fuck!" He closes his eyes, taking a deep breath.

He hears the kid banging his head against the wall and blinks a few times, slowly lowering his head to see what was happening.

He sees the kid seemingly insanely regretful, confusing him slightly. Their eyes meet, a small, quiet silence combing over them. His eyes follow the fox but his head doesn't, as he circles around him and whispers something sheepishly. Logan was still slightly confused by the whole ordeal.

"..little bit, bub. That fucking hurt. ... What even was that.."

He drums his fingers against the chair in a nervous fidget, claws making soft clicks against the metal.

"Little bit... thats not very reassuring..."

He stares down at the metal, thinking about how easy it would be to melt. How he could just free the man and claim it was an accident. But he'd definitely get in trouble... maybe tortured... at worst a demotion... is one hero he doesn't even know worth the risk?

"Oh, that's nice," Spider-Man sighs as he leans back on the edge of the fountain. Maybe deciding to go on patrol at noon wasn't his brightest idea. Not even the rush of the wind flying past while he was swinging helped cool him off. The sun's heat is oppressive, considerably worse closer to the ground than up in the air, but he would bake all the same on a rooftop. Here, at least, there is mist from the fountain that he can enjoy.

He ditched his thick suit in favor of a thin T-shirt with some pun scrawled on it in faded print and shorts. An odd look, for sure, given the mask, gloves, and shoes that scream Spider-Man, but it's safer than his suit in this weather. 'Spider-Man collapses in the summer heat' is not a headline he wants to see.

Given the heat, he could likely call in for the day; who would put in the effort to commit crime on a day like this? He doesn't even have the energy to concern himself with whatever pictures the press could get out of him with his new look showing off all of the old bruises and faded scars. Definitely not the upstanding image of an invincible hero, but the city has seen him take a beating time and time again, so it's probably not that big of a deal.

Spider-Man can't be bothered by it anyway. He has better things to do, like finding the will to get started on patrol again before the back of his shirt is completely soaked through. It's a task he's completely absorbed in, barely paying attention to his surroundings.

Seeing the rather joyous, one-sided water balloon fight has him relax slightly. Sure, a lot of villains laugh like maniacs when attacking people, but Spider-Man is beyond sure it is just water in those balloons. His spider-sense isn't for nothing, after all.

The crystals are certainly of note. He wonders what the science is behind that. He has dealt with magic, some that is beyond science's ability to explain, but as a scientist, he will approach with logic first. The whole furry and bearing numerous tails thing is also important, but trouble coming in the form of animal themed folks is nothing new.

However, the mix does remind him of one man who had a problem with crystals that made him rather... fluffy, and bitey.

And Spider-Man is so terrible at minding his business. But, technically, they started it by throwing the water balloon, so he says fair game.

He keeps throwing water balloons at people below, though he does slow his pace as he notices Spidey following him. He stops completely at the vigilantes question, the smoke dissipating as the other platforms dissappear till its only the one he's standing on, poking out of a random building.

"Oh yeah. Trust me, for my first time on the moon, getting attacked by a werewolf, but a bad one, basically, was real weird. He's not on the moon any more, though, so don't worry, just don't go touching crystals or picking up a giant sword if you go to the moon." He waves his hand, as if it is unsurprising information.

He sits down on the platform, kicking his paws slightly and wrapping his cloak around himself, enjoying the cooling properties of the fabric. He smiles as Spider-mans questions continue, thinking each one over. If theres one thing the fox man loves, its to brag about himself and his powers. And just talk about magic in general. He didnt spend all that time studying it to not share his knowledge after all!

"Oh, neat." Most of the time he doesn't get to sit and ask the people he meets questions like this; they're usually too busy trying to kill him. This is a nice change of pace "So, you learned magic from the moon, then the trees, and now you want to try the concrete jungle?" he quips, gesturing to the city. In this moment, it is certainly quite distant from the moon, given the heat blazing down from the sun. "But really, what brings you to New York?"

He grins, the kind of grin he inherited from a mother who knows how to topple civilizations. Full of fang and malice. At least until he looks at Spideys face and lets out a lighthearted laugh. "I joke of course. Tried the whole being worshipped thing and it was kind of boring. Too much sitting around for me."

"Oh, so you go to different universes, I see. I did that for a bit, but only universes like these, I guess. But I never got to stick around and sightsee; that's got to be nice." He has always been curious as to how the universes of the other spider-people he has met work, but trying to stop the multiverse from collapsing takes precedence, unfortunately for the scientist in him.

"Oh I can guess about the Russia part too. Its simply reality taking me where I want to be. With Hydra and all that, ya know?" He shrugs as if wanting to be around Hydra is a normal thing.

Listening to him talk about reality's formulas is interesting. It makes sense somewhat; without light there is no shadow... or something like that. He doesn't know exactly. He's not a fortune cookie. He is so caught up in trying to equate it to something else that he barely catches onto the use of the term Parker Luck, which throws him through a loop. "Aww, shucks, you're going to make me blush." He fans himself, as if he isn't enjoying the sort-of praise. Being loved and a favorite of a bunch of universes is a nice idea, even though that means he has to suffer, which is a little concerning.

He smiles at the reaction to his praise, enjoying it immensely. "Just the truth." He shakes his head. "No universe imploding, no. I wouldn't be here if this place was on the verge of collapse, especially not if it was my fault. I have made friends with one other version of you before, that one's the biological kid of Tony Stark. Very interesting universe. I can assume thats not the case with you..." He looks Spider-man over. "You seem pretty generic Spider-man. Classic mode. Close to what I'm familiar with at least."

"Of course she will. Its not exactly hard to see we're family. She loves me already." He tries to sound confident about that, though a bit of doubt still creeps in. "...Besides. She's young. I'm sure she'll forget you once you're gone."

Birthday RP - The Hound 🗻

Its been quite a while since X mansion burned down. Since his Mistress betrayed him, leaving him for dead. Since he'd died and been revived as an undead, unaging, warrior of revenge. Its been months. And yet... he still feels no closer to his revenge. No closer to killing Sienna. No closer to saving his daughter from her grasp. He'd caught up with her at points. Like when he broke into her mansion. Or when he'd first found out about his daughter and ended up 'killing' Siennas oldest daughter. But after that trying to find her had been nigh impossible. She's not scared of him, he's confident in that, but she doesn't want him near her.

He stares at the date on his phone. June 25th. His birthday. He's seventeen today... or he would be if he still aged. Maybe next year he'll want to celebrate, but for now... well it hadn't seemed worth mentioning to any of the few people in his life. A birthday is something Voss would care about and as far as The Hound is concerned, that won't be his name again till his prey is dead and gone.

Lily was in a stroller, the one year old was giggling and babbling away. Her ears flicked and the tail sways as she was chewing on her snacks.

Sienna had gone alone to shop, to get lunch and a coffee. Do normal mundane things for once since the mansion was burned and they moved and built a new one.

But her, pet, was stuck on her mind. She wanted him back- Victor wasn't enough anymore. She had to stay consistent on who she kept- there had to be a way in her mind to let him. Come, home.

Then the emotions of a bit of joy hit her- his birthday. It was today.

"Oh your meals already been paid for."

"...my meal? Are you sure?"

"Yes sir."

"O-oh. Okay. Thanks." He grabs the bag of food, looking around with fearful paranoia. No one he knows would do that in secret. No one except her. Not immediately seeing anyone, he darts out of the restaurant and toward a nearby park, clutching the bag so hard his knuckles turn white.

He can't go home. Not when she could be watching. And the thought of eating has his stomach doing flips. He reaches the park and darts up a tree, perching in it and looking around, trying to see if he was followed.

Sienna walked around as she picked it up. Looking for a second as she eventually, found him. Her eyes slowly trailed over him, seeing how much he's changed since that day.

A smile to her lips as she pushed the stroller over to the playground.

We'll play a game-

She let Lily out, the toddler runs around the smaller equipment as she squeals. Her tail sways as she was such a happy child. Her ear twitched as she felt someone stare.

His emotions swirl as he watches Lily. He doesn't know how to feel. Disgust for what she represents, for the ways he can see her mother in her. Jealousy for the warmth Sienna seems to have for the child, warmth he'd always wanted from her. But still... theres love there. She's his child. Family he'd never thought he'd get to have. And fierce protectiveness. He can't let Sienna ruin things.

He should move over to Sienna. Take advantage of Lily being distracted to go kill her. Slit her throat, start a fire, decay the body as fast as he can. But... instead when he jumps out of the tree he moves toward Lily. Creeping closer until he's right in front of her.

A chirp leaves her as she reaches a hand out, a shimmer of a flame follows as she marches over to him.

Her curls swayed, the duck theme her mom picked out was so precious. Her little duck clips kept her face clear, she had freckles that bloomed like hints of coal. Like a flame that was lit-

"Ba!" She calls out as she got close enough. She gently pats his face, feeling the fur and lack of here and there from the flames that engulfed Hound at one point.

"Lily... I doubt you remember me but, I'm... I'm your big brother." The lie spills out with just the tiniest feeling of truth. She's his daughter, no doubt about it, but... despite how experience has aged him far beyond his years, he still feels too young to call himself anyone's father. He shouldn't have to, he's still a kid. Besides, even if the evil woman wont agree, they do share a mother.

Bruce is one of the richest men in the world. Bruce does not want to be one of the richest men in world.

He starts by implementing high starting salaries and full health care coverages for all levels at Wayne Enterprises. This in vastly improves retention and worker productivity, and WE profits soar. He increases PTO, grants generous parental and family leave, funds diversity initiatives, boosts salaries again. WE is ranked “#1 worker-friendly corporation”, and productively and profits soar again.

Ok, so clearly investing his workers isn’t the profit-destroying doomed strategy his peers claim it is. Bruce is going to keep doing it obviously (his next initiative is to ensure all part-time and contractors get the same benefits and pay as full time employees), but he is going to have to find a different way to dump his money.

But you know what else is supposed to be prohibitively expensive? Green and ethical initiatives. Yes, Bruce can do that. He creates and fund a 10 year plan to covert all Wayne facilities to renewable energy. He overhauls all factories to employ the best environmentally friendly practices and technologies. He cuts contracts with all suppliers that engage in unethical employment practices and pays for other to upgrade their equipment and facilities to meet WE’s new environmental and safety requirements. He spares no expense.

Yeah, Wayne Enterprises is so successful that they spin off an entire new business arm focused on helping other companies convert to environmentally friendly and safe practices like they did in an efficient, cost effective, successful way.

Admittedly, investing in his own company was probably never going to be the best way to get rid of his wealth. He slashes his own salary to a pittance (god knows he has more money than he could possibly know what to do with already) and keeps investing the profits back into the workers, and WE keeps responding with nearly terrifying success.

So WE is a no-go, and Bruce now has numerous angry billionaires on his back because they’ve been claiming all these measures he’s implementing are too expensive to justify for decades and they’re finding it a little hard to keep the wool over everyone’s eyes when Idiot Softheart Bruice Wayne has money spilling out his ears. BUT Bruce can invest in Gotham. That’ll go well, right?

Gotham’s infrastructure is the OSHA anti-Christ and even what little is up to code is constantly getting destroyed by Rogue attacks. Surely THAT will be a money sink.

Except the only non-corrupt employer in Gotham city is….Wayne Enterprises. Or contractors or companies or businesses that somehow, in some way or other, feed back to WE. Paying wholesale for improvement to Gotham’s infrastructure somehow increases WE’s profits.

Bruce funds a full system overhaul of Gotham hospital (it’s not his fault the best administrative system software is WE—he looked), he sets up foundations and trusts for shelters, free clinics, schools, meal plans, day care, literally anything he can think of.

Gotham continues to be a shithole. Bruce Wayne continues to be richer than god against his Batman-ingrained will.

Oh, and Bruice Wayne is no longer viewed as solely a spoiled idiot nepo baby. The public responds by investing in WE and anything else he owns, and stop doing this, please.

Bruce sets up a foundation to pay the college tuition of every Gotham citizen who applies. It’s so successful that within 10 years, donations from previous recipients more than cover incoming need, and Bruce can’t even donate to his own charity.

But by this time, Bruce has children. If he can’t get rid of his wealth, he can at least distribute it, right?

Except Dick Grayson absolutely refuses to receive any of his money, won’t touch his trust fund, and in fact has never been so successful and creative with his hacking skills as he is in dumping the money BACK on Bruce. Jason died and won’t legally resurrect to take his trust fund. Tim has his own inherited wealth, refuses to inherit more, and in fact happily joins forces with Dick to hack accounts and return whatever money he tries to give them. Cass has no concept of monetary wealth and gives him panicked, overwhelmed eyes whenever he so much as implies offering more than $100 at once. Damian is showing worrying signs of following in his precious Richard’s footsteps, and Babs barely allows him to fund tech for the Clocktower. At least Steph lets him pay for her tuition and uses his credit card to buy unholy amounts of Batburger. But that is hardly a drop in the ocean of Bruce’s wealth. And she won’t even accept a trust fund of only one million.

Jason wins for best-worst child though because he currently runs a very lucrative crime empire. And although he pours the vast, vast majority of his profits back into Crime Alley, whenever he gets a little too rich for his tastes, he dumps the money on Bruce. At this point, Bruce almost wishes he was being used for money laundering because then he’s at least not have the money.

So children—generous, kindhearted, stubborn till the day they die the little shits, children—are also out.

Bruce was funding the Justice League. But then finances were leaked, and the public had an outcry over one man holding so much sway over the world’s superheroes (nevermind Bruce is one of those superheroes—but the public can’t know that). So Bruce had to do some fancy PR trickery, concede to a policy of not receiving a majority of funds from one individual, and significantly decrease his contributions because no one could match his donations.

At his wits end, Bruce hires a team of accounts to search through every crinkle and crevice of tax law to find what loopholes or shortcuts can be avoided in order to pay his damn taxes to the MAX.

The results are horrifying. According to the strictest definition of the law, the government owes him money.

Bruce burns the report, buries any evidence as deeply as he can, and organizes a foundation to lobby for FAR higher taxation of the upper class.

All this, and Wayne Enterprises is happily chugging along, churning profit, expanding into new markets, growing in the stock market, and trying to force the credit and proportionate compensation on their increasingly horrified CEO.
