After much consideration and debating, Hiko and Sumi have moved! You can now find them on the reworked and rehauled multimuse, @cardrisen​! <3 Everything is still intact and nothing has changed aside from dropping all current threads for a fresh start! <3

“Is it ‘cause I didn’t tell Mommy an’ Daddy I was looking at Heatleo last week-?!”

And at the very end of the day, I can safely say the rehaul is pretty much done! It’s taken a lot longer to finish due to outside forces, but for the most part, everything’s been rewritten and overhauled, with the sole exception of the relationships, which are.. Numerous and going to come in chunks, for our sense of sanity. XD But considering 12/3 was Hiko’s birthday, it only felt fair to have the kids’ rehaul done today! <3

Of key notes:

-This blog’s primary canon now follows the Fireflower verse, just the same as their mothers. Verses following their parents’ singleship verses (I.E. Solarflare, where Hiko would be an only child, and Entrust, where Sumi is the only child) are also available as a secondary canon, but unless otherwise requested threads will automatically default to Fireflower.

-There’s been a total rehaul to the rules and the kids’ info, so please give those a look! <3

-The kids’ canon has grown and now includes ties to both all my blogs ( @sworntolight, @sunmagus, @yukipup, @cardrisen ) and all of Kasa’s ( @soulburnings, @duelrisen ), but also to that of our good friends Mew ( @kaibacorpbros, @cyberseignis ) and Vel ( @musicmovesoursouls ). These ties expand the Homura family into a rather large affair and include a crossover with Kasa and Vel’s Sevens muses, and will be explained with upcoming threads and HC’s - But always feel free to come ask us questions if you’d like clarification, or to poke Hiko and Sumi! Kasa and I are always up for talking about and explaining our oversized family of dorks!

-Hiko and Sumi both have gained duel spirit guardians, the details of which will be expanded on in future HC posts. Neither of them can see these guardians, though they exist, regardless.

-Verses have been minimized, eliminating unneeded and unused and narrowing them down to something far more manageable.

One Pom here with an update: I’m gonna be putting this blog on a semi-hiatus! After doing some talking with co-owner Kasa ( @soulburnings​ ) , Hiko and Sumi are going to be getting a rehaul of their... Honestly, of everything, from theme to info. There’s been a lot plotted and worked out with them and their current info is horribly outdated compared to that, and I didn’t quite see the point in just refreshing one of two things when everything really needs it, especially after going several years now with old info.

But because there are several active threads involving them, I outright refuse to put them on a full hiatus. So please forgive the dust as things get fixed up and tweaked, and know there won’t be any new threads accepted or memes posted until this rehaul is done! <3

A mecha-lion… He’d seen models like that once, hadn’t he? Ones that could transform and do all kinds of things? Those had been more in the adults’ section of the craft store, though, and he hadn’t wanted to jump in over his head - Not when this one looked more like a real lion. And if they could make it a tribute to Heatleo, that made it even better! “I wanna do that! But I wanna make this one like Heatleo, too - I could get daddy’s card!”

If he could find his father to ask, that was, a quick twist around letting him look for the elder Homura. He was home, right? He couldn’t just go take Heatleo - Even Heatleo would be mad! “Uhhhh… I think Daddy’s home- I gotta ask Heatleo if we can see him.”

“Did you say you have to ask…Heatleo first if you can see him? But I thought he was just a card?”

A card that Yuga had never seen before at that, so he’d definitely need the artwork as a reference to work from if Hiko wanted his model kit to look anything like the monster. The only thing Yuga had heard of the card before was that ‘Heatleo was a lion on fire’.

“We only need it for a second, but if you can’t get it then I guess we can always look it up online. There has to be a video of someone using a Heatleo somewhere that we can use.” 

“Uh-huh. Mommy says you’ve gotta respect your cards, ‘cause they’re special.” You never know what’ behind the card. It was advice that’d stuck with him, though he couldn’t understand why, or what she’d meant; maybe it had something to do with why he sometimes heard her talking to Almiraj’s card when they logged in? “So I gotta ask Heatleo and Daddy. ‘S only fair to Heatleo too.”

Stepping away from Yuga, Hiko stuck his head around a nearby corner; Takeru was home, wasn’t he? If he wasn’t, he couldn’t ask... And his mother was busy with Auntie Aoi, last he checked, which meant she was out, too. Looking up Heatleo online would definitely be the safer option, but that had nothing on seeing the card itself-! “...Didja see where Mommy went? If we can’t find Daddy, then Mommy could say if we can! I’d ask Mama, but she’s at work.”

“C’mon, something like this doesn’t make you spin. It’s for putting things together.” 

Like small models, parts on Kaizo, and pieces to his ‘roads’ he had all but laying everywhere in the room Hiko was visiting, but his parents hadn’t just given him his own drill. Yuga’s room was lined with as many tools as it was projects he always seemed to be working on. This small, battery powered drill was just the tool Hiko had walked in on him using.

“Y’know, I think we could probably use this to help one of your kits out, too. Didn’t you say you had trouble getting the tail to stay on one of your lions?” Maybe Yuga could teach Hiko to use a drill like that!

“Uh-huh - B’ is it safe?” That was the big question, wasn’t it? Of course, Hiko knew the answer: If Yuga was using it, it was definitely safe. His parents wouldn’t let him do anything dangerous, let alone anything Hiko himself could pick up and make dangerous, so there was no way it could be anything but safe... But the noises drills made never seemed like they were, either.

Still, it didn’t mean he couldn’t step closer regardless, peeking at the drill in his friend’s hold; that could help keep Simba’s tail on? Even rubber bands hadn’t done that, and he didn’t want to use glue - Glue didn’t belong on the backside of a lion! “Don’t they put holes in stuff, though? He’s already got a hole for his tail, Yuga - If we make it bigger, isn’t it gonna fall out more?” Unless they attached the tail and drilled it into the spot it had to go, but....

「Tiny Soulburner」

“Uh-uh. Daddy duels me, and he duels Mommy, but I don’t see him duel anyone else. Uncle ‘Saku, either… He’s so gooood! He gave me…” It’d take a moment for him to remember how to work his duel disk, idly tapping the screen for the deck menu before he he could actually find it and pull it up with a proud grin. He’d remembered, all on his own - even if it’d taken him a few moments and random menu tapping! He was learning, kind of!

But the next time he held out his arm, it was to show his new friend first his Phoenix Gearfried, then Valkyrian Knight, fiery colored eyes practically sparkling. “Daddy said they were his old bests! Now it’s Heatleo, an’ he’s the best lion! I can’t beat him, though… He always beats me. He beats Mommy, too… He’s unbeatable! Just like Soulburner! I’m gonna be like both of them when I’m big, too!”

Shifting atop his ‘pride rock’, Chibi let his legs hang over the edge of the can’s lid, small boots kicking in the air with a happy hum. He could do it - And he wanted a magic fire to go with it, too! He just had to find his, somehow… “I gotta find my fire, I think. Then I can beat Daddy and Soulburner. I got my own sib-bees, too… Daddy says it’s good!” Cyberse, his Mekk-Knight Crusadia link shown off next, albeit briefly. “Which one’s your favorite Salamandergradit? Did you ever meet Soulburner? Did you see him duel!?”

He needed to slow down - Too many questions for a new friend who’s name he didn’t even know!

Flame stood close to this small Soulburner to watch as he flipped through his cards. He very much did have a duelist’s heart to be this passionate!

“Find your fire huh? I’m sure you’ll be able to find it soon.” Ah, a metaphor, humans did like to use those quite a lot. 

Although with the barrage of questions, Flame was a bit taken aback. Were all young children this enthusiastic? “Err… Slow down a little Soulburner, let me think.” the fire ignis of course, didn’t need the time to know the answer of course, but rather how to phrase his answer.

“My favorite Salamangreat… I’m afraid I cannot pick one. I like them all too much to choose.” he settled on. They were his creations after all. And he was proud of them! It was too difficult to pick. “And… yes I did briefly see Soulburner fly by while he was Speed Dueling someone. It was quite an impressive duel.”

Little Soulburner? There was something about being called that that made Chibi light up in delight; did he really look like a little Soulburner!? Sure, he and his mother had made his avatar to look like Soulburner’s, but it hadn’t been perfect - he was missing his superhero’s shinguards, and his scarf was just a scarf loosely wrapped a few times around his neck, rather than one he could hide in his outfit. Even the colors were a bit off, and darker than Soulburner’s aside from the lighter shades to his hair, but for a moment, all he could do was focus on those two words. He was a little Soulburner... He was his hero-!

“Chibiburner,” he finally blurted, following it with a lift of his hand to point to himself. Maybe if he was slow, he wouldn’t squeal in glee? “I’m a Chibiburner! I wanna be just like Soulburner an’ Daddy, b’ I’m a Chibiburner - Mommy helped me! She’s shopping over there - Mommy’s a Solar.” The hand that’d been pointing to himself shifted once more, this time to point to a nearby store, where his mother had parked herself outside to browse through an ‘outdoor’ display. As long as he could see her and the store she was at, he was safe...
