So here are some snippets of what I did for that project!

I worked on: concept art, GUI design, 3D textures for the characters' models, illustrations and storyboard (for the introduction cutscene), 2D sprites that were used in a trailer we also had to create, and the icon of the game

As you can see, it's a completely different art style from what I'm used to, and it was a real challenge, especially when the main character has so many unique features that you can't simplify anymore

The concept of the game was an old woman whose only remaining family are her grandchildren and her great-granddaughter, and said grandchildren start to renew her very old and ancient house to modernize it, so YOU have to help her adapt to this "new" technology. Genres are casual and puzzles

For the game's overall aesthetic, I took as reference the art styles of The Wind Waker, Gang Beasts and Grandma, No!, plus a pastel color palette to give the game a more cozy vibe, with a high predominance of pink and lavender tones as these were the main colors of our in-game beloved grandma

Working on this project was a very special experience, as I've never worked on game design before and so far I only had vague ideas and concept art. Makes you think again about the whole game creation process and how intense it can be, ESPECIALLY on the final weeks before "release," though it's definitely not for everyone. Only passion can push you forward with these types of projects and, well, I love doing art. Yes my hands suffered drawing but art is what keeps me alive, and I'm happy as long as I'm creating something

Next year is work experience and I don't know what I'll be doing yet... I'll worry about that when it's time, but I ain't leaving art behind
