Yasu Matsakuni, Leader of the Cleaners' Team Misfit
TW: Gachioc Lore, lots of reading, mentions of murder, implied suicide, not very scary deaths
Yasu Matsakuni is a woman who originated from the Sileia Tribe who was given the mission to help women who were in need. However she bent those rules and chose to help those in need, resulting in her growing her own little group now known as the Misfits.
Originally, Yasu was supposed to be placed in Team Front with Semiu, having to directly report to Arkha Corvus due to her dual-life life as an assassin and spy. However, she refused and firmly stated that she should have her own team so she could keep an eye on her people, saying that she was the only one who could keep them in line.
It was a difficult and tough process, but Corvus managed to get Yasu's team name into the system. However, no further recruits could be sorted in her team, not unless she or other already residing members found people on their own. It was strictly stated that the people they found had to be Giver's and not regular civilians.
Yasu thought this rule was idiotic and dumb. She didn't agree with it. Not one bit, but she kept her mouth shut. They were crucial to her plan. She couldn't go around running her mouth, talking shit like the others. She doesn't have that kind of luxury. She's the main one who represents her team. Her people. Her family. If she were to do that, everything would be ruined.
Yasu's plan is the get up to the Sphere. Like anyone else on down on the Ground, she dislikes Sky Folk. Their ignorance to the life residing "downstairs" irks her. However, her goal isn't to take down the Sphere. Back when she was younger, when the members of her team were still coming together and joining her side, she made a promise to the current members thenβShiwase, Eimi, Mei, Cael, Miriam, and Mini (Louis)βthat they would get to see the sky. And being a woman of her word, Yasu intends to follow through.
Yasu's Dislike for the Cleaners
Imagine having the same toy doll as someone else, but that person takes it and destroys it right in front of your eyes, then hands it back to you like nothing happened. You receive the doll back, but it's not the same. It's destroyed. And there are pieces missing.
The head is gone. The mouth is drawn on. And the limbs are twisted in unimaginable ways.
Having no head means having no thoughts for yourself. You can't think if you're already dead.
Having no mouth means having no way to communicate your thoughts. You can't give orders when there's someone bigger constantly talking over you.
And the limbs? Think of a contortionist.
That's how Yasu feels. Her group was dismantled and she was given something smaller, but broken. In turn for a team, she was forced to become someone's personal guard dog and assassin. She's constantly given missions with a bar that's set too high. She feels as though she's suffocating. How can she voice her thoughts when she feels as if she's walking on eggshells while holding her breath?
She feels as if though her freedom was stripped away, and in turn for that she got downgraded and "promoted" to someone's silly guard dog and spy.
To put shortly, a Raider who went by the name Yoru Maru joined Yasu's team. Yasu believed that Yoru had changed for the better and that she wanted help. However that wasn't the case.
Yoru had only joined to cause trouble for "fun."
She isolated Eimi, a member of Yasu's Team, and took her life beyond Cleaner walls. She then convinced Mini, another member of Yasu's Team, to take his own life when he was already suffering and dealing with the loss of his teammates. After which, she planned to go after Mei Aragon, the field medic on Yasu's Team. (A/n: Mini passes before Eimi.)
Having had enough, Yasu waited until she had an assigned mission from Semiu. She requested to go along with Yoru. This is when Yasu "strikes." The mission was successful. They defeated the enemy and it was time to go home. However, as the duo was venturing home, Yasu confronted Yoru of her wrong doings. And thus the fight begins.
Yoru suffered broken ribs and severe cut wounds on her arms and legs. Yasu's Vital Instrument, Deadlock, was able to deal one final blow before her arms gave out. She didn't use the sharpened ends of the sign, instead using its ability to freeze any moving object. She used Yoru's own blade, sliding it across her neck. Effectively ending the battle.
However, Yasu wasn't safe. She suffered a fatal stab wound on her side. There were a few other places where Yoru's blade stabbed into her skin. She bled to death, but she made peace with how her life had went. Even going as far as the make another promise after saying her Team Members' names. Not their nicknames. Their given names.
She died protecting her family. Though, unlucky for Corvus, he lost his "secret agent." Tragic. He found a rebound though. (I dislike Corvus. No amount of swag can make up for how much of a faker he is.)
And that ends Yasu's journey.
Starting from the Sileia Tribe. Ending as a Cleaner.
Sadly, she is not the last death to happen among the Misfits. She is second to last, though.
