you're not better than them if you're an empathetic, sensitive, passive, extroverted, etc. plenty of "empaths" or popular members of a community are abusive. your actions are what matter most, not what emotions you feel/don't feel, or how social you are.

I've seen quite a few posts cheering for or generally celebrating Amane's Mom's death, and I know they're mostly jokes, but... I don't know, it makes me kinda uncomfortable. It's obvious that the event was really upsetting for Amane, and it is (implied to be) followed by her living with HER MOTHERS CORPSE for multiple days. This wasn't a good moment for Amane, and her mothers murder only causes her to cling further onto her religion, so it's not even a sign of freedom. I get why her death feels cathartic for other people I guess, but it kinda weirded me out to see people so hyped

I’ve seen that a lot of people don’t like the idea of Prussia being both the German state and a representation of the Baltic people (old Prussians), but I genuinely do seem him like that… mainly because 1- he practically “inherited” the name Prussia from Prūsa, the land was originally inhabited by old Prussians — and 2- it genuinely adds to PruLiet, mainly because Lithuania aided old Prussians in their attempts to resist the teutonic knights, so it would cause a lot of inner turmoil in Lithuania whenever he’d think of his relationship with Prussia……
this isn't a criticism per se but it is a major pet peeve of mine that when I look through hetalia fics, it feels like most of them are modern human AUs. like. you do you but I thought this was the history fandom.

I would also like to remind people that homophobia is a real thing that is still widespread even in the most progressive countries. Many people suffer because of it, many people become traumatized because of it, many people are ALREADY dead because of it. Even now, at 2025-2026.
Some people are unhappy that Kazui is a canonical gay. People say it's trivial, obviously, uninteresting, and generally a topic unworthy of attention, because everyone treats it normally. Not everyone.
It seems to me that the main problem lies in the fact that such people communicate only in close, closed circles, not paying attention to the world around them. Or they're the kind of people who think that if you add a woman, gay and black person to a movie it's "too woke".
Queer people is not a fanfiction with a lot of likes, which everyone speaks well about. Queer people is real life, which is still dangerous and painful. If someone is offended by the fact that a fictional character has been confirmed as gay because it is "too corny and boring," I suggest opening up news from the real world, where people continue to be killed for it. real people. and it used to be even scarier. it's real thing, you know.
I believe I’ve briefly mentioned this before but I absolutely adore how the Milgram prison and the audience’s impact on the story through our reactions and votes mimic the restrictive society that all the prisoners grew up in that ultimately caused their murders in their first place.
Through the prisoners gaining to ability to hear everything we’re saying about them, they’re being tortured by re-experiencing what theyve been hearing all their life.
Kazui forced himself to conform to a restrictive and conservative society despite not fitting the mold of what society and his family wanted him to be in the first place. He was raised and expected to be a strong man, just like his family of police officers. Kazui desiring to be more effemenate, to be the more submissive, would cause him to be ostracized.
But even then so many people on the audience expected him to be the strong man and protect everyone just like his conservative family and society around him. And when he couldn't fulfill that role, all the blame for the dead trio's deaths fell onto him. "Why didnt kazui protect them?" "It’s his responsibility as the strong adult man." When in reality, this was never his fault or responsibility in the first place.
Of course it's not just him, our criticisms of and expectations on Yuno resembles her life when everyone viewed her as just a "poor girl" that didn't understand.
