@iwishiwasalilbittaller Alrighty! Here is your fic, sorry my witing may be a bit amateur but its almost 1 am please spare me- also this isnt proof read cuz im too tired for that so ignore any spelling or punctuation errors please-
Not really any warning other then i guess a panic attck? :P also verity has a human body in this
You finally came back after a long day of mining, your hands were covered in coal dust and dirt and your legs ached from walking for so long.
„i should‘ve taken verity with me today, why did i think it would be fun to go alone this time?“ you ask yourself.
You grunt and turn around, to your suprise you finally found your base!
„finally!“ you exclaim, you rush to your wooden cabin ignoring the aching pain in your legs , all you could think of was laying in your soft bed after this long tiring day and You were also runnin low on hunger and needed food asap.
You get to your wooden door and glance up at the sky, the sun was already starting to set giving the sky an orange and pinkish hue „phew, just on time!“ you grabbed the door handle and twisted it impaitiently making the door fly open.
Unfortuanatly…instead of being met with the familier cheery voice and smile you were met with a tall 12 foot lovecraftien being.
Your eyes widened at the sight of this..thing, your breath hitched in your throat as it immediatly let out a loud roar making you step back in response. Sadly your fight or flight response stopped working and you froze and your breath started to quicken, each second your heartbeat got faster until you started to hyperventilate. You closed your eyes and waited for impact, basically giving up as tears welled up in your eyes as your life flashed before your eyes whilst you were saying your last goodbyes to being alive.
..but the impact never came, instead you just stood there with your arms above your head and your knees slightly bent.instead of being met with death you were met with verity‘s voice „(name) i-im so sorry i thought you were someone else i-i got scared im sorry i shouldn‘t have done that.“ his voice trembled and sounded desperate.
You moved your arms away from your head, looking up at verity who was looking back at you with a worried expression on his face. But instead of giving a coherent response you just straight up start crying while trying to say something, anything but only letting out a few sobs and incoherent words.
Verity immediatly perked up seeing this and rushed to you „hey- hey hey hey hey! No no dont cry its ok im sorry your safe your safe-“ he desperatly tried to stop you from crying, he hated seeing you upset it was like drinking poison.
He put his hand on your cheek to wipe away a tear, you looked at him your eyes red from crying „i look so stupid crying like this..“ you thought, verity suddenly hugged you tightly.
His arms were wrapped around your back and waist as he buried his head into the crook of your neck „look please im sorry i didnt mean to scare you please stop crying.“ he muttered into your shirt, you hugged him back „its okay, i know you would never try to hurt me.“ verity lifted his head to look at you, he seemed to calm down after you said that (he couldnt afford to lose anyone else again, especially not you..) „Im sorry again (name) can i do anything to make it up to you?“ he said shamefully, you smiled at him „its okay you dont have to do anything you already apologized more then enough times.“ you put your hand on the side of his face and caressed it lightly which made a light coral hue appear on his face „o-ok then (name) if you need anything im here okay?“ you nod and walked off to lay on your bed and got to sleep.
