And I think I found a way it could be true? allow me to explain how in painstakingly unnecessary detail (i should be studying for finals right now but I think this is a much better use of my time)

okay, just immediately looking at the shot, I don't think it could be a head-on of Henry standing in the same orientation that this iconic shot is:

the background to both of them immediately strikes me as just too different from each other. plus, if they did that it would be painfully obvious which memories Vecna's gonna be visiting in vol 2, which would essentially spoil at least some promise of byler endgame. which. they obviously don't want, so.

BUT. I think it could still totally be in that shot, just from a different angle. peep this POV in the rain fight scene as will's leaving:

see the greenery? I know the angle is a little weird, but I think potentially Henry could be posted up like this in the trailer shot:

that would mean that THIS shot:

is taken from behind the window of the Wheeler's front door, which tracks, because...

see, the same ones that we see here:

I personally don't think the logistics are a stretch, because we see Will in the rain fight scene from a similar angle that the Henry shot would be in

then, this also begs the question of how Henry is wet, because Will very clearly isn't:

but if my theory is correct, they're standing in slightly different spots -- Henry would be further out in the garage, away from Will:

and ultimately, I don't think I'd put it past them to change the set for the sake of the narrative (aka having Henry soaking in rain to really punch the water metaphor / depressing Mike flashback into our faces). they did it for Mike's closet being destroyed, they did it with the demogorgon's strength for all this season so far. why not now?

and if that's not convincing enough, I think he could also equally be positioned from THIS angle looking through the door window:

which would DEFINITELY put Henry far away enough to get soaked / more able to be surrounded by greenery

then, i think, comes the question of "well, why are we viewing it from inside the wheeler house instead of outside?'

I think it could be answered if we begin the flashback scene not outside, but in Mike's basement.

basically I think it could go like this:

if that's all true, that means that this scene:

could in fact be a flashback moment, and could be from Mike's POV as Vecna delivers a cruel, gut-wrenching, sexuality-realizing line, and finally, FINALLY pushes mike out of the closet

we all know that number seven has been around since the beginning. e v e r y w h e r e. but mostly, number seven has always been there when it's about Mike and Will.
