i know that little eva can't remember her age range at this point in the fic, but what age range makes the most sense to you for her?
are there any "Little" things eva did while she was actively suppressing her regression? because it's in her biology, are there things she couldn't even avoid doing while suppressing? (question inspired by eva remembering / missing her little tiger)
in classification AUs, is it possible for someone to be both a little and caregiver? or is it biologically impossible?

tbh, considering her ‘suppression sickness’ is going to make things a lottttt more fluid/uncertain while she recovers, for the storyline im planning to expand on, Eva’s age range will be ~1-6 years old!!! if she were not ‘sick’, i see her as being more 4-6, kind of having a pre-school/kindergarten headspace :)) a very curious + sweet, independent lil thing she is for sure

OOOOO okay!!! for my AU, since i can’t speak for all the different variations out there, i say yes!! i semi-mentioned the possibility in the third chapter of my fic. while i had been coming up with the fake biology of the ‘CATCH’ (Classified Attachment and Threat Coordination Hierarchy) system, i had figured it would be fun to toy with the idea of such a phenomenon existing.
going off grace’s info dumping in the second chapter, since everyone requires blood tests around like 11-15 years old (aka, end of middle school, beginning of high school, going by american schooling) to determine classifications, the chances of someone being ‘both’ is very possible!! every human has a presence of the three proteins, so it’s theoretically and statistically not out of the question.
i don’t think being entirely void of a classification is possible (since that would mean the three proteins are not being sufficiently produced; i’m not gifted at bio at all, but uhhh, i imagine that would be a huge problem to have ur body not producing something that critical). but, if there’s an equal amount of each protein in someone’s bloodstream, then yeah- they’re a Caregiver, Little, ANDD a Neutral :))
bc i’m a dork and wanted ‘street slang’ names for each class, seeing as Caregivers are Aces, Littles as Clovers, and Neutrals as Spades, it’s only natural to think of the ‘fourth’ small percentage of people who are ‘all three’ as the Diamonds (bc they’re also very rare, like <1% of worldwide population). i also thought it was funny to think of Diamonds as being a ‘mixed-deck’ since they have ‘all’ classifications

Little Eva Stratt <3
this girl will play with her hair constantly. i imagine this was a Little habit that Stratt could not kick no matter what she did, so, she restrained herself to at least wait until she was alone. she will not protest to someone braiding her hair/brushing it out
very artsy little tot/preschooler :)) she loves a good coloring book or craft that involves glue. that being said, on the nights where she was missing her Tiger bad, Stratt would reign in ‘Eva’, so to say, and would settle for making origami tigers/animals to set on her desk…. even if she would force herself to toss them out come the next morning
she loves tigers for a reason bc u best believe she’s a little fein for biting/mouthing on things while regressed :3 u know the spouts on to-go cups? mawing those to DEATH!! pens, if she’s semi-alone to indulge? bite marks. her Tiger’s ears? kind of balding in some spots from her teeth. her nails? lowkey obliterated. i bet there were times in meetings on the Vatt where she would not be able to stop gnawing on her coffee cup lids.
stratt needs glasses but doesn’t want to look like a dork- but eva will whine bc she can’t see shit!! a regressed eva stratt is more receptive to her glasses (shoutout @//ochrenebula’s art where stratt has glasses!!! super super cute!!!)
this girl will nap. she will SLEEP!!! she’s got her Tiger and a decent blanket? hibernation 😭
she may be down for a craft but she won’t turn down a tablet loaded with games!! this is a classic one but alas i am a firm believer (shoutout @//tinytinybumblebee’s posts about eva loving her ipad games lmao!! real shit!!)
stratt is a good eater and so is eva. only thing off the table for either headspace is olives. she hates olives. she (eva) will have a full blown meltdown over eating them if u try to force it. do not make her eat olives. shit, don’t even OPEN a jar of any kind of olive near her bc she will gag
#1 nature enjoyer. let this lil girl go outside to play in the dirt and find cool leafs :)) give her a plastic shovel and she will have a huge fkin ditch in 20 mins. will throw dirt at anyone close by. she’s a lil shit once she gets comfortable
all this to say, the only Little type things eva had trouble suppressing were mainly smaller habits!! she curbed any regressive episodes hardcore with caffeine (stimulants) and mental will. very unhealthy in general. i think the ONLYY thing that almost tripped her at all up was waking up from a nightmare; nightmares scare her, which makes her mad she got scared, which makes her lose just a sliver of self control, which means she feels small for all of a couple minutes first thing when she wakes up
Caregiver Ryland Grace !!
can u say chronic over-thinker? unc’s got it but man he does NOT think so 😭😭 he’s very worried all the time about doing the wrong thing
while i don’t believe grace ever had a bond with another Little, he totally offered himself in college to friends who may have needed someone to just supervise while regressed
very knowledgeable about the whole CATCH systems and stuff!! i know i mentioned it in chapter 2 of my fic but still, very important to me
he’s the type of Caregiver who will cry if his Little cries; he can have some restraint but he’s an empathetic guy :’)
his teaching background makes him a wonderful Caregiver!! he knows how to be patient, how to explain new things, how to take care of little injuries, and has a good grip on what’s ‘fun’ and maybe not so fun!! that being said, he prefers his Little going outside or playing with toys over screen time (cue a fun balancing act between him and eva since yk, she’s all for being a bum (affectionate) in front of a screen)
he’s SO down for a good cuddle!! very affectionate type of Caregiver in general, never afraid to use pet names and gentle gestures if allowed/given consent
i don’t think he exactly loves the idea of being called ‘dad’ or ‘dada’ as a parental name while caregiving (maybe ‘mama’; he’s not sure yet for my fic lmao). his name (grace OR ryland) is preferred, but he won’t turn down silly names like ‘baba’ 🥲
can cook/follow a recipe!! he’s not stuck to just making grilled cheeses 😭 this man WILL be able to whip up a fun meal for his Little if he locks in

regressor!eva stratt (phm movie) headcanons
- she never ever ever regresses around other people. ever. she's horribly embarrassed by it and the very thought of being percieved as weak or vulnerable scares her to death
- that being said...there was an incident where grace was speaking to her about something and looked back at her and she was chewing on the stopper from one of her coffees, glancing wide-eyed at the room. unfortunately, the second he asked if she was okay, she snapped back to reality. :(
- she experiences a lot of guilt for past decisions because of how long she's had her job. this only really manifests itself when she's little and alone and sobbing so hard she can't breathe. the only thing that could help her would be a plushie or a friend, but she doesn't allow herself to have any of that
- moving AWAY from the angst, i think clean comfy clothes would be a massive positive trigger for her. imagine constantly working and walking around and being busy and then being able to slip into cozy clothes fresh from the dryer - it makes her melt, even if she doesn't want to
- she tends to be much sweeter when she's slipping, which catches the attention of anyone used to her ''management style''. she asks people if they need help or if they're okay, and only one or two people working on the hail mary have an idea of why

꩜ . . . eva has the worst sleep schedule of anyone ryland has ever met. he decides to implement a very particular 'bedtime routine' in an effort to get her to settle down for the night and actually get some rest
☆ . . . he brings her a decaf coffee (eva would usually turn her nose up at a decaf coffee but she finds that a warm drink does help her settle. and she would never choose a tea) he reads her little excerpts from history novels or loads up documentaries on her tablet, waiting until her eyes get sleepy enough to tuck her in and turn out the lights
꩜ . . . grace takes his stuffed fox with him to eva's room , even if he isn't feeling small . he finds that the little fox calms eva more than it calms him. when he's big, he'll tuck it in beside her with a forehead kiss for each of them. if he's feeling little, he'll cuddle it between them so they both get fox cuddles for the night
☆ . . . eva braids her hair before bed, but since grace becomes involved in her nighttime routine, he takes over for her. depending on his own headspace he is either really great at it or it comes out completely loose & sloppy
