With a muffled and unsatisfied grumble, Sasha rolled over to face the nightstand. Channeling all her willpower, she managed her eyes open and moved them to look at the alarm clock. 3:45… it always had to be 3:45. Suddenly remembering the ringing now, Sasha turned her tired eyes to the phone which was ringing so obnoxiously, she thought it might ring itself right out of the receiver. 

“Hello?” she answered, stifling a yawn. “Uh-huh… no I’m fine… yeah… alright, I’ll be there in thirty.” The woman struggled to not only lift herself out of bed, but do so without waking her husband; assuming he had somehow slept through the call. She set her tired feet on the carpet and sighed to herself, hoping the morning sickness would mercifully pass her by while at work.
