the thing is your writing session might not be fun or easy or fruitful, but it is always successful. every time you write, you are making progress. you’re thinking about your story, you’re thinking about your writing, and most importantly: you’re writing. just remember that, even if you don’t reach your goals, your writing session will be a success.

i feel like a lot of the bias that white ppl have against hunting is bc their cultural image of hunting and killing animals is based in disrespect and subjugation of nature instead of respect, gratitude, and coexistence with nature

i think it's fair to say that white people's cultural concepts of just about everything in life are based on like... the subjugation of nature. the idea of nature and the land itself as being hostile and foreign and alien is especially relevant in colonial literature for obvious reasons and i keep coming back to it
