•march27 2016, 14/100 days of productivity• finished my first weekly spread yesterday, not entirely sure why I made it so pink?¿ but it’s all good

    “he’s stupid.” she said. “all men are –” she assured “and they don’t grow out of it - i learned that with Seth.” she explained. “we’re forever doomed to stupid boys and their stupid minds.” she hummed. “but some of them are cute enough to be worth it for a little while. I have a strict ‘ NO TEARS ’ policy when it comes to boys.” 

     She listened to what she had to say but she still hoped that there was still decent guys out there that weren’t as bad as what she was saying, but for now she would just agree for the sake of not being late again. “I need to adopt that policy.” She laughs.

            she smile when riley did “that’s better.” she praised. “you’re so lucky you’ve amazing eyes - you don’t even need eyeliner.” she assured her. “now come on, we’re going to be late but we’re going to look super fucking cute walking in.” she said, taking riley by the hand and pulling her back towards the school entrance. 

      Riley managed a laugh and interlocked hands with Brooke, following her into the school. “I’m just glad he’s not in this class. I don’t think I could stand walking in late and seeing him there.” She shakes her head. “It’s so stupid.”

  she leaned into riley and raised her hand, gently wiping the smudged eyeliner from under her eyes “you don’t give him that by drying your big beautiful eyes.” she said gently as not to make her cry. “you finish today without blinking an eye at him - or if you do see him, make it worse by smiling at him.” she said gently. “then you and i will  rent a crappy movie, order take out and cry or talk or just watch the movie.” 

    Riley couldn’t help but smile softly as her best friend was being so sweet to her. It was exactly the kind of thing she would do if the roles were reversed and she was glad she had that true friendship with Brooke. She moves to wipe her eyes and fix her hair. She didn’t want to go into class late, but now there was no choice. “Okay.” She nods.

   she moved her arms around riley and hugged her close, letting her friend cry before the hug broke. “i don’t do that –” she frowned before nodding in understanding. “but he doesn’t deserve that kind of reaction from you –” she insisted, sliding her hand into rileys’ and squeezing it. “please.”

   She wasn’t going to argue about how her friend chose to heal herself or deal with things in her life. She felt bad for even saying that in the first place. She definitely didn’t want to make her upset. “How do I not give him that then? What do I do?” She looks down at their hands.

    brooke sighed watching the translucent droplets stain her cheeks and she followed her towards her car “please don’t go –” she insisted. “you’re allowed to be upset, you’ve nothing to leave for - have a cry and fix your eyeliner and go back in there looking like the hot bitch you are.” brooke said, tugging riley closer. 

   Riley had turned and hid her face in her friend’s shoulder as she cried, eyeliner probably streaming down her face now. “I’m not you though, Brooke.” She pulls back and pushes her tears away. “I can’t just pretend like things don’t effect me like that and go about my day. I need a cry fit that lasts hours and sleep and to not eat for a week.”

   brooke frowned “he was good to you how? and after what?” the petite blonde questioned. “you almost died - why wouldn’t he be nice to you? that’s like – thinking someone is nice because they didn’t punch you in the face.” brooke scolded. “aim higher, riley.” she insisted. “you are too beautiful & too smart to think like that.”

     Tears started to fall now and she wasn’t sure if it was because the scolding or the fact that it was setting in that he had moved on and forgot about her. She pushes them away, moving  the tears onto her sweater. She opens her mouth to argue but she just starts to cry harder. “I-I need to go.” She starts toward her car, not worrying about her classes anymore.

   brooke pushed into riley a little closer, she could tell from the crest fallen look on the petite girls face that she was hurt - and brooke hated that she was the one who had painted that expression there. “i’m sorry…” she whispered gently to her. “i like noah, i really do…but he was never good enough for you, riley.” she confessed. “and you know i always thought that - i was shocked you even gave him a chance.”

   “I can’t do this here, B.” She shakes her head, looking down at the ground to avoid looking into her best friend’s eyes. “I appreciate you telling me, but I can’t talk about this now.” She was going to break down if she continued talking about her first love. “Don’t talk about him that way. I know you mean well..but he was really good to me after what happened..”

   brooke got her outside and stopped “I have – something to tell you.” she said worriedly. “i think noah and zoe are kind of…. a thing.” she said, her expression worried as she watched riley - she didn’t really want to tell her but she couldn’t be by her side at all times to protect her from the harsh reality and brooke found it kind of nice to worry about relationship drama and not someone’s death. 

   Riley wasn’t sure how to react. She knew it was understandable that he would move on after their break-up but she didn’t realize it would be so soon. She had almost died a few months back and with her recovery he stuck beside her and was amazing, but things..they didn’t work. “Oh..” She looked down, trying not to get worked up. “Is that all? We’re gonna be late.” She couldn’t break down here.

    she frowned and shook her head “that was – my…….” think of something, maddox!! “that was my dad’s phone, i need mine.” she nodded. she tugged riley by the arm and began to walk the opposite direction of what could cause her best friend upset. “thanks SO much.” she insisted, glancing behind her. “i’ll take the blame, don’t worry, kay?”

   “Wait why would y-” She was about to ask why she would have her dad’s phone when she had her own but she was tugged in the opposite direction and didn’t have time to finish her sentence. “Alright, but if I get detention i’m gonna be super peeved.”

    brooke held her books to her chest as she wandered down the hallway with riley - she quickly stopped when she noticed noah & zoe chatting ( flirting ) she moved infront of riley “i left my phone in my car - come with me?” she asked in a high pitched tone. “please?” she smiled, a dimple creasing in her cheek. @unmatchedpotential

  Riley stopped in her tracks as Brooke stepped in front of her. “I thought you were just on your phone texting Emma?” She raises an eyebrow, wondering what her best friend was up to. “We’re gonna be late.” She sighs. “Okay, I guess.”
