“Nice to see you again, Brooke. What the hell’s been going on with you?”

“Oh, naive little Brooke. Is that really what you think?” Jake chuckled, his gaze shifting from her face to her cleavage. “Mhm, on the second thought, I don’t really feel like sharing you with our birthday boy after all.” He glanced up again, a smug grin tugging on the corners of his mouth. “You know, usually I’d call you on your bullshit, but since it’s working out in my favor in time around, I guess I’ll just keep doing what I’m doing.” He spoke huskily, leaning in for a kiss.

‘ psycho... ’ she mused. ‘ so what about a projector of it and everyone has to come dressed as their favourite horror / slasher character? ’ she asked. ‘ you’d have to tell me who to dress as since i’m guessing cher hollowitz from clueless isn’t particularly horror. ’

“If it’s so wrong, then how come it feels so right?” he purred into ear as he laced his fingers with Brooke’s. Pulling away from her, Jake met her gaze again and arched an eyebrow. “Fair enough, I guess. It would probably be pretty insensitive to give the nerd a heart attack so close after he escaped death, right? However..” he started, lifting his hand to run his fingers through her blonde hair, then cupped the back of her neck and drew her toward him. “Feel free to elaborate on how I can get you bored enough, baby.” 

Audrey stared blankly at the blonde, lost in her own thoughts, until the tiny girl raised her voice at her. “W-What?” she asked, blinking her eyes. After everything that happened merely a few months ago, shooting Piper and Emma’s mental breakdown, she found it difficult to move on and start caring again about ‘insignificant’ things such as best friend’s birthday party. “Of course I’m listening, Brooke.” she lied, furrowing her brow. “It just sounded like you got everything figured out already and I don’t have anything to add to it, is all.”

Jill could not hide the shock she was feeling. “You are just going to give me a fucking Porsche to drive around in while I’m staying with you?” A car that cost more money than she’d ever seen in her life and Brooke was just all nonchalant about letting her use it.”Well okay. I mean how could I say no to that. Thank you.” She needed to have a discussion sooner or later with her father about getting her own car. He wouldn’t give her anything if she didn’t ask. That was just the way the jerk handled things. He didn’t want her there so he usually gave her whatever she wanted to keep her happy and away from him - she was more than happy for that because she didn’t enjoy his company anymore than he enjoyed hers. She followed Brooke out the door towards her car. 

‘ i’m not giving you a car, i’m not oprah, there’s just no point you walking places as i drive so you can use it when you’re staying with me. ’ she elaborated. ‘ it’s fine, it’s no biggie. ’ she promised her. she hopped into her car and turned it on. ‘ thanks for wanting to look out for me. i really appreciate it. even if it’s a little strange but i mean, it’s sweet. ’

Madison might not remember most of it in the morning so they would pretty even on that level if Brooke regretted it. She moaned softly at the hand tangled in her hair and that just encouraged her even more. Small bites and kisses were placed all over her neck without even caring if she left a mark - she wanted to so Brooke had something to remember her in the morning. “No more than I’m taking advantage of you while you’re half asleep.” She whispered in response as a hand slipped into her panties. 

she squirmed a little when he began to kiss her neck before she allowed her eyes to flutter closed when he kissed behind her ear and she purred slightly, moving her fingers to his hand and coiling her small digits into his. ‘ there’s so much wrong with what you just said. ’ she breathed in as she opened her eyes again. ‘ first of all, i’m not dressing up as a maid for noah - or you. well,  maybe you, if i was bored enough. ’

t o d a y ; two years ago my - ❞ he didn’t think he’d have to even continue the sentence. the voice his voice cracked and everything he’d told her about his father would make it sink in. he’s gone ; it’s been two years since he’s been ripped out of his life (  even if he never was a good father to begin with   ) - it still hurt. ❝ i just - i don’t want to think about it. i don’t want to remember. i just - ❞ there’s a brief pause , digits now grasping for her own as he looked up , their fingers now laced together. he’s lucky to have her by his side. he wouldn’t make it without her. she’s the only one who understands , the only one that truly knows him. ❝ i just want to forget. ❞

she moved and slinked beside him, holding his hand tightly, a frown etched on her features as she listened to him ‘ i’m sorry. ’ she whispered. ‘ i won’t press again -- ’ she said, leaning into the male and kissing his lips gently. ‘ please don’t be sad - let’s go out and we’ll do something fun, maybe a carnival! ’
