A BOY enters the bloodbath with tragedy worn upon sleeve  &  a smile that shows only teeth.  it was the biggest thing to ever happen to them.  thrive off of the carnage  &  let it consume you. truth blind  &  officially obsessed. self - absorbed  &  naive to a fault.  hyper awareness is gripping the second the corpse of a friend falls.Â
A BOY is lured into the dark of the woods,  strung along by his own pulsating heart.  her warmth radiates off of you.  the brightness of your smile is illuminated   —   burning.  a boy is lured into a trap with affections used against him. haziness of thoughts  &  choked words as crimson seeps from a gaping wound.  the iron tang of blood smells different when it originates from yourself.  your life was not supposed to end like this.  bleeding out in the midst of a wooded area near the tragedy wrought wren lake,  the place that had become the spot of you  & the girl you loved.  cruel irony.  you were spared once.  but no one could truly survive unscathed twice.
A BOY leaves the bloodbath.  the murder board still sits at the forefront of bedroom  &  the podcast remains. but your smile is genuine & whole.  perhaps things are finally back to normal.  or maybe lakewood will always be murderville.
