First off, apologies for being nearly three years late to respond! But I wanted to jump in and share my experience on bringing up feedism to a partner, hoping it’s still helpful.

I’m 32 now and have been into feedism for about 17 years, and in my experience, the best approach is to be open and honest with your partner. Just let them know what you're into and see if they’re open to participating. I’ve done exactly this with every partner I’ve been with since becoming an adult, and I’ve never encountered the dreaded “ostracized” reaction. Most of my partners have been open to it, even if they weren’t familiar with feedism or fat-positive interests themselves. Some weren’t quite in the feedism realm but were curious and willing to give it a try. All of them participated to varying degrees, and even those who didn’t embrace it fully were still respectful and intrigued.

In today’s world, kinks and sexual interests are discussed so openly that feedism is actually less “weird” or taboo than we might imagine. I’ve even talked about it with close friends and family. The key is to approach it respectfully and openly, ask for consent, and be mindful of each other’s comfort zones. With those principles in mind, I think you’ll find that most people are at least willing to hear you out.
