My name is Maysara, and I am a heart patient in need of open-heart surgery due to a hole in my heart. I managed to escape the war and reach Egypt just one day before the border closed, but not without great loss and pain. I lost my mother just days before October 7th, and I was also injured in Rafah.

Your support has been my lifeline, enabling me to flee to Egypt. But now, as I face this critical surgery, I am filled with fear. I don’t want to die. I want to live, to honor the memory of my mother, and to embrace the life that your generosity has given me a chance to hold onto.

Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I undergo this life-saving procedure. Your kindness gives me strength, and I hope to emerge from this with a renewed heart and spirit.

As some of you know, I have been waiting and searching for a service dog prospect for a while now (for those on my friendslist who don’t know what this means; it is basically a puppy or a dog that is going to hopefully be trained as a service dog).

We weren’t expecting a dog or a puppy for at least another 3-5 months, but Monday night a 6 week old standard poodle puppy became available. Long story short, the puppy is mine, and will be coming home late June/early July!

We thought we had months to prepare, to save money, and get everything ready.

I need to scramble together the money in a very short time period.

I am in a huge pinch, and I need help paying for this sweet little puppy.

I’m fully capable of paying for everything the puppy needs, if that’s anyones concern. I am just unable to come up with 2000 dollars in about 2 weeks.

We’ve set up a paypal account for this (and not a funding site, because funding sites will take % off of the income).

I feel like most of you have known me long enough to trust me that this money will solely be going towards this puppy. Any amount donation helps immensely <3

Hello everyone,

First off, I’d like to thank everyone who liked and shared my last post regarding Makhmal’s Medical Fund.

So far, we have not received any donations. I must say, I am a bit saddened, but I understand that not everyone can donate and that the post did not reach many people. 

I don’t like to share my follower count, but in this case, I think it is necessary to help spread the word about Makhmal and her need for support from kind patrons like you. 

There are 21,562 of you wonderful people with wonderful blogs. It’s not a remarkable number, but it is a good number and I appreciate every single one of you for supporting me and following my appreciation for wild cats all over the world (including domestic cats). If only 4,000 of you donate just $1, Sara would be able to help pay off Makhmal’s surgery costs as well as provide continual support (physical therapy, rehabilitation, etc.) in the hopes that one day, Makhmal may be able to utilize her left hind leg to the best of her ability.

I know that this is not wild cat related, but a domestic cat is just as important and worthy of our attention and help. As you know, there are 39 extant species of cat, the Domestic cat is #40. 

It’s ok to be upset, especially when bad things happen. It’s ok to not be ok even when nothing is going on.

It’s ok to be lost. It’s ok to be unsure. There will always be plenty of time to figure things out, no matter your age or circumstances, it is NEVER too late. It is NOT too late.

Sometimes it can feel that way. Sometimes it can feel like too much. But when you start to feel that darkness tugging at you, you just look at my birb face and know that you are needed.

Because I need you around. I need all of you around to see what I’m going to do next! I’ve got so much planned and so much adventuring to do and I can’t do it alone. I want you to be a part of it.

Without you, I’d just be some birb. But because you’re here, I am POOF BIRB. You have changed my life forever. My birb life is not as long as a human’s, but I’m so glad that so many are here on my blog! It makes me happy to see so many care about me, a birb. You have made me so much more than just a cockatiel, and for that, you are important to me.

My adventures would mean nothing without you to share them with.
