I mentioned it in the note, but I haven't actually beaten VicRo yet because I'm terrible at this game and the first match alone made me cry (four fucking tries the rest of my gameplay ain't looking bright folks) but I love Unmei and I love Sakurazaki and my original idea ended up getting lost in the hype of writing new characters.

Now if you'll excuse my I don't have time to talk more because I'm fighting off an allergy attack, so here's the fic that I wrote in 6 hours today.

You probably guessed already with how I didn't actually answer the "who'd you get was it me" question and the fact that it was uploaded so late in the day. But you know exactly what was going on so I felt like you wouldn't mind if it was a little late.

One of the prompts they gave me was "Something about Daichi adjusting to life with Tyson and Grandpa? Because he grew up secluded from civilization, I bet there would be a lot of confusion/frustration. Like does he know how indoor plumbing works? Is instant ramen like magic to him?" I put my thoughts on the subject in the note.

It only occurred to me the day of that I never checked to see if I had to post it to Tumblr or if I could just post it to Ao3 and link it like usual... So since I'm pressed for time and don't want to bother with formatting I'm doing the latter (if that's not okay I can edit this later with the actual fic, let's just say the new year has not been very happy for my family so I didn't have much time to figure a lot of this out).

(Unfortunately something happened to the formatting of this fic between writing it and posting it so until I've figured out how to fic that, it'll look like crap.)

Technically a side story to Shiro's side of the narrative and Christmas gift to bestie @hachuna

I spent 9 hours drinking one glass of milk staring at Google Docs attempting to finish this because things happened with my other idea and I'll be uploading it at a later date, and this installment was technically written for them anyway.

This is basically my attempt at actively using this account for posting, because I refuse to return to ~other social media~ but Ao3 has yet to answer to my silent demands for a community posts tab on profiles.

Anyway this is the fic good NIGHT.

Fun fact: the plot for this story is based off an actual short story I was writing a looooong time ago but scrapped after a while because I felt like it wasn't interesting enough to publish. I'm glad I got to revive it through a fanfic, because the concept was really good and I was disappointed it didn't turn out how I hoped.

But anyway - when I saw the prompts I got really excited, because "royal" and "soulmates" sounded like they went together perfectly. Unfortunately the "soulmates" part ended up becoming more of a background detail once I decided to introduce ✨MAGIC✨ into the plot. It also became more of a general fantasy setting, and basically nothing I had planned from the start made it into the final product. This is what I mean when I said I had to change everything, because once that happened nothing else made sense anymore and I decided I had to go back and rewrite it.

(I'm also sorry if it ended up a little angsty - it is unfortunately just something that happens in all my works, because how can I build up the funny stuff if the characters don't suffer a little?)

BUT I finished it. And I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out, so I hope you are too.

hosted by @inazuma11zine ! It was quite a bit of work compared to the collab projects I've done before, but the outcome was worth it since I don't think I would have written something like this otherwise.

The fic I wrote is called "Looking Back" and my letters weren't titled in the zine itself, but I opted to title them "From Us" when posting them myself. The notes say everything you need to know about the process and how I feel about them, but all in all I'm happy with how they turned out in the end!

I can really only write the Ares/Orion cast so I’m very thankful you picked two I actually knew well OTL. I hope you like it!

While I’m at it I might as well post this one too.

I had a little trouble with how to properly word “このドキドキな関係嬉しくて” since while I understood the meaning of “関係”, putting it into a grammatically correct sentence that still kept the meaning was annoying. So I just left it as “relationship”, though I’m sure there are better ways to put it.

(Also added punctuation where it felt like there should be punctuation, from the tone of the line.)

Since it wasn’t translated on the wiki I decided to TL  “A Proud Idol” -Boys Side- by HoneyWorks, sung by Uratanuki. Honestly I didn’t plan on sharing it but since I brought it up to some friends I thought

Why the heck not

(These are very casual translations that I did in like ten minutes so if there are any mistakes or better wordings I’d love to know.)

The line I struggled the most with was probably “ ファンと夢を見て悪いか “, since I and two friends I went to for help all agreed there was no other way to phrase it without losing the meaning, so I had to settle with the clunky wording you’ll see below. The same with “ みんなと一番取りたいんだ “, but I feel a little better about that line. There were also like five different ways to translate “上には上がいる” but I went with the one I thought fit the song best.

I did of course use the original song as a reference for some sections since they have the same lyrics in some parts, but I changed the wording to what I personally felt sounded better.
