Umm…

I think Rey will TRY to keep it secret for at least part of TROS. Based on the quote from John Boyega that Finn is “trying to figure out what’s going on with Rey” I think it’s safe to say that they will find out about the force connections at least in an abstract way. Maybe they see Rey “talking to herself” or maybe she’s sneaking off to be “alone” 😏 frequently. I’m excited to see what awkward moments will come of this. 🔥

At some point though I DO think the force bond “bomb” will drop because her relationship with Kylo Ben (and how it evolves 😏) is going to be a central point of the story. She’s going to have to explain to her friends why she and the “big scary bad man” are kissing now.

Everyone: 😱

She’s trapped in her own mind, she can leave if she really wants to, but she’s waiting for her idealized version of her parents.

It ’s so sad because many abandoned children tend to idealize their parents as a defense mechanism.

She needs something that makes her face reality .

This scene tells it perfectly and only lasts a few seconds…

If  she doesn’t face the true she’s  doomed to becomes the old lady.

Rey needs to hear the true. She needs to break free.

Even after meeting Finn, Han and Chewie,despite her sympathy for the Resistance she still wants to wait forever.

Ben could have seen something else, BUT NO, he saw what Rey needed to know…

It’s questionable the way Ben says it but it’s  undeniable that it was necessary.

He’s NOT enjoying telling this to her

This is NOT the expression of a manipulative man

He’s offering the home that she never had. He’s offering to relieve her pain,  help her.

In a twisted way?Yeah maybe, but he really needs her…

Now Rey needs to face the other truth: They belong together.

I think Ben already knows

And in the end, Rey too…
