This winter, The Japan Foundation in Sydney is hosting a series of events to celebrate Tokyo’s experimental street fashion. The program, Tokyo FRUiTS – 20 years of Street Fashion, opens with an exhibition of Tokyo street style photography that will run for five weeks in the The Japan Foundation Gallery. The Tokyo FRUiTS exhibition includes a comprehensive collection of photography from the Harajuku district from legendary photographer Shoichi Aoki of FRUiTS, the cult Japanese magazine that documented the best of Tokyo street fashion over the past 20 years.
