Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali (رحمه الله) stated:
كَانَ عَمْرُو بْنِ قَيْسٍ (رحمه الله) إِذَا دَخَلَ شَعْبَانُ ، أَغْلَقَ تِجَارَتَهُ ، وَتَفَرَّغَ لِقِرَاءَةِ الْقُرْآنِ ، وَكَانَ يَقُوْلُ : طُوْبَى لِمَنْ أَصْلَحَ نَفْسَهُ قَبْلَ رَمَضَانَ .
When the month of Sha'bān entered, Tābi'ī 'Amr b. Qays (رحمه الله) would close his business, devote himself to reciting the Qur'ān, and would say, 'Glad tidings for the one who rectifies himself before Ramadān.

"So either, you will be a witness for or against yourself."
Imam ash-Shafi’i رحمه الله said:
“رِضَا النَّاسِ غَايَةٌ لَا تُدْرَكُ.”
“Pleasing everyone is an unreachable goal.”
اَللَّهُمَّ اِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ ، تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنّا

ولربما تأتي المسرةُ بغتة، و تراك تنسى كُل أيام الألم. ثِقْ بالذي أعطاكَ قلبا طيّبًا، ستطيب دُنيانا و تزدحم النّعم

“Everyone does what he was created for, going where he was destined for, and none can overcome Allaah’s qadar and will, and Allaah is the doer of what he wants.”

...ٱسْتَعِينُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱصْبِرُوٓا۟ۖ إِنَّ ٱلْأَرْضَ لِلَّهِ يُورِثُهَا مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦۖ وَٱلْعَٰقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
..."Seek help through Allah and be patient. Indeed, the earth belongs to Allah . He causes to inherit it whom He wills of His servants. And the [best] outcome is for the righteous."
Al-A'raf 7:128
Real is rare.
وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ وَلِيًّا And sufficient is Allah as an Ally
وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ نَصِيرًا And sufficient is Allah as a Helper
وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ عَلِيمًا And sufficient is Allah as Knower
وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ شَهِيدًا And sufficient is Allah as Witness
وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ وَكِيلًا And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs
وَكَفَىٰ بِاللهِ هَادِيًا And sufficient is Allah as a Guide
Al-Hadid 57:21
سَابِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَغْفِرَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا كَعَرْضِ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ أُعِدَّتْ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦۚ ذَٰلِكَ فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
Race toward forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden whose width is like the width of the heavens and earth, prepared for those who believed in Allah and His messengers. That is the bounty of Allah which He gives to whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty.

اللهُمَّ هَذا الشُعور :
﴿سَلامٌ عَلَيكُم بِما صَبَرتُم ﴾
﴿وَجَزاهُم بِما صَبَروا جَنَّةً وَحَريرًا﴾
Sufyan ath-Thawri رحمه الله said:
“I’ve never dealt with anything more difficult than my soul; sometimes I lose, sometimes I win.”
