But, there was no sense in delving too deep into that world.

She would have teased him more, but she quickly found herself in a headlock. Her fault for letting him get too close! Not that she would have created distance anyways!

They had that type of dynamic: an eldest brother with grit like sandpaper, but a heart that wanted to provide shelter to those who needed it-- and a younger sister that wanted to test him and see what she could get away with.

If he had let her become a passive introvert, then Enjin would had failed his job. Riyo's willingness to push his buttons and test him was a trait that he wanted her to hold on to.

" Now WAAAIIIIT just HOOOLD on a sec! " Enjin dramatically sighs.

" You remember anythin' from right before ya wound up here? 'Cause all I can call back to is blacking out, and then. . .

Yeah, he really did think Enjin was like 40 or something. "Hey--!" He's caught the cap, but now he's messing with his hair in total shock. "You're a whole lot younger than I thought.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand, I know a bald guy, and he looks pretty cool! I BET I'd look pretty cool too bald! When I hit 40, and I'm bald, I'm gonna be the baddest ass ever!" Real confident, this kid.

" Lotta hair! Like a wild cat. Maybe we oughta shave it all off right now so that ya don't get crap stuck in it, " Enjin cracks a grin and snickers to himself.

" Sure, bald guys look aight! So long as they don't have a lumpy head, lemme check that out for ya-- "

With a firm ruffle of the kid's hair, Enjin squints. Pretending as though he is examining something closely, he gives an observant hum.

"Pfft, what the hell is this? Some sick joke?" It sure isn't funny. There are red primrose littered by her feet. At some point earlier, she was plucking them and eventually she's given up. She sits at the curb, cigarette in hand.

" We got Night of the Living Weeds goin' on out here. It's kinda creepy, don't ya think? " Enjin was side stepping all of the aggressive plant growth encroaching upon the city. The sidewalks were beginning to get a little difficult to navigate. Someone needed to clean up all of this mess.

"Tell me about it. I wouldn't be complaining if they just stayed outside, but they're in my house. So, yeah. No luck." For emphasis, he lifts up the bag, the label on the jug visible through the thin plastic. "Not yet."

That's got to be able to do something, right? There didn't appear to be a sense of urgency in the stranger's step, maybe Enjin could take along and lend a helping hand.

" Hey. Mind if I follow? If you don't got a solution yet, maybe two heads would be better than one. I'm itchin' like crazy out here, whatever we find out would help both of us. "

Unless someone managed to get her far more casual then anything she was wearing prior.

"If you really thought I was cosplaying then you'd probably freak out more at the outfit I wore as a knight. It's far more of spectacle then this."

" Feels like everyone around me's been pulled from worlds with crazier clothing than mine. "

It wasn't as though The Ground purposefully chose bland clothing, but, a break from the beige and slate grey could be nice. Enjin had taken the time to alter his uniform to give it a personal touch, and that was some of the only pop of color in his arsenal.

She took a big bite of her lunch after stepping out of the car, and by the time she'd looked around a familiar voice had called out to her. There was a muffled "Oh, Enjin. You're here." between chews until she swallowed, looking him up and down with a smile.

He'll keep this in mind.

" Not as simple to use as the chokers, it works though, " he looks up from the screen and squints at Riyo.

" Wow, didn't think you'd get dropped off right in front of me AND not BRING ME SOMETHIN' TO EAT-- "

Immediately he yanks Riyo into a headlock, ketchup and hot sauce splattering onto his coat, but the hot dog itself was spared from his wrath.

" Damn. Damn.

once is fine, two times is just a coincidence, but a third!? as far as olga marie was concerned, this was perfectly normal attire for a mage! especially a lord of the clocktower, though such terms won't make sense to anyone but a select few. still, the unbeast sighs in mild annoyance but it quickly melts to exasperation at best when she sees the stranger meant no harm.

" Are you sayin' that because you think I'd look dumb in that same fit? " Enjin asks, trying to feint being hurt for a moment. It looks like he rubbed this lady the wrong way, so, he only knew a few tactics to disarm the bad mood: act stupid, or, act smooth.

And he wasn't feeling up to hitting on her, not when she could probably steam roll him right now.

But he snorts, and waves off her comment.
