If you are only able to interpret astrology through the lens of how it affects you, you are a bad astrologer. Pisces is not “confusing” because “confusing” is not a personality trait; Scorpio is not “scary” because “scary” is not a personality trait, etc. You’re not describing the Zodiac, you’re just describing your own incapacity to be genuinely empathetic or objectively analytical. This is my biggest issue with the (inexperienced) astrology communities on social media: there is so much catering to deliberately unempathetic perceptions of other people. The stereotypical reduction of a sign to a set of feelings you get when you interact with them is so one-dimensional and self-absorbed, and it’s unbelievable to me how a lot of newer astrologers / astrology hobbyists don’t see how this is literally destroying the point of the practice and shoving so many people away.
