Sometimes the heart shatters with such a violent quietness that the mind becomes deaf to everything else. The world could be collapsing — buildings crumbling, skies tearing open, people screaming — but none of it reaches you, because inside, something far more catastrophic is happening. The heart is cracking in places the brain cannot map, cannot reason with, cannot soothe. And in that moment, logic becomes a useless spectator, watching helplessly as emotion floods every corner of you. The world may burn, but all you hear is the echo of your own breaking — a sound so immense, it swallows everything else.
