when i turned 12, i found a distinct love in a certain fandom. that was when i started discovering the world of fics. since then, i never found joy writing anything else. when i turned 18, i thought, maybe it’s time to grow up and move on to new genres. maybe it’s time to walk away from projecting my dreams on boys who will never know my name. trust me, i tried. but i was never happy with the outcome, no matter how good my friends told me they were.

i was 19 when i first got into kpop. i was surprised at how long it took me to get here especially with the numerous k-stans i keep around in my life. but now, i’ll always be thankful for it.

i’ll always be grateful for 2020 for opening one of the best doors of my life.

this has been the only time i’ve made genuine friends on tumblr, where i actually enjoyed talking to people who cared about me beyond my squealing over celebrities. you guys, my friends, have listened to everything i have said, from my writing to my personal rambles (see: gill talks, aka gill overshares about her life). no words can describe how happy this newfound home has made me, but as i’ve said, i’ll do my best and try.

@haneul-s of course, i have to start this off with the most beautiful soul i’ve met on here. your petname suits you well because you truly are an angel, the kindness in your heart gleaming as pure as heaven. i didn’t even think you’d remember what i’d said a few months back about me and the concept of home, but i’m eternally grateful for what you’ve done to make me feel like i have somewhere i belong even if it’s online. you’ve helped me make tumblr my own sense of home, hani! for knowing you, i am eternally grateful. i hope 2021 brings you the bliss you deserve. <3

@nico-nico-niki we’ve only been mutuals for what, 3 weeks? but you’re easily one of the greatest people i’ve met on here. i love how i can approach you so easily with anything that i think of and how your crazy ideas make me laugh (even if you almost got me cancelled with your furry allegations). and yes, you are an amazing writer. i can’t wait to read more of your work in the upcoming months!

@spookybias, i never told anyone this, but after i read frozen ideals, i was in so much awe of your work that it made me want to write for enhypen too. it was what pushed me to make this blog and contribute my own work to engene tumblr! you will always be my favorite writer, gen. i hope you keep giving us the amazing gen magic on here <3
