What I want for Pride Month
If you EVER think Anthony Head is anything less than an angel then youβd best remember that I have always been a huge fan of his and weβve always had a little contact over the years and he heard Iβd come out as Trans and was having a hard time and that I was kind of sad that the photos I had from conventions with him were of me with long hair and no binder and they were all signed to βSarahβ and so he invited me to spend the day with him at his farm and he picked me up from the station and we just hung out and had lunch and he insisted on paying and took loads of photos and had them printed on photo paper the same day so he could sign them to Jay, along with other photos of him as Giles and Uther and he literally spent five hours chatting with me and got all of the pronoun stuff right every time and then he dropped me off at the station, gave me a final massive hug, waved me through the ticket barrier and insisted I message him when I got home so he knew I got back safe. super simple low-effort ao3 summary methods that are 1000% better and 1000% less annoying than just saying you suck at summaries:
copypaste the first few lines of the fic. u already wrote βem. let βem be their own damn hook
if ur feeling fancy & donβt mind showing ur hand a bit, copypaste the first few lines of the fic that u feel are esp. Important or Interesting - the ones where u first start getting into the real meat of things
state the main tropes! theyre probably already in ur tags - just say them again - maybe as a full sentence if ur feelin fancy. or with a joke if ur feelin Extra fancy
ask a question. pose a hypothetical. eg what happens if u take [character] and put them in [situation]?
make an equation. [character] + [thing] = [outcome]
just write like a one-sentence summary of what the fuck is going down. just one (1) sentence. doesnt matter if it doesnβt cover every important aspect. or if it sounds bland. any summary sentence is gonna be miles better than βidk i suck at summariesβ
justβ¦explain the fic like u would to a friend? it doesnt have to be a polished back of the book blurb. it can just be β[pairing] coffee shop au, but like, still with murder, and also i made everyone trans. enjoyβ

virgil is [remembers that saying hes a 'light' side or 'dark' side completely goes against his character and that he is neither one and is 'technically' a gray side and the only side he's on is thomas's because he constantly looks out for him no matter what] his own side
i think the interesting thing is that like. canonically. "dark sides" is just another mean nickname made up by roman that kind of grew legs of it's own. there is no real "light sides" (two words I don't think are used in the actual series weirdly enough? someone fact check me idk) and there are no real "dark sides". but because of Thomas's perception of them, they slowly mold into those categories ("But the duke and the prince literally wear the black and the white!" "Yes, but they're your sides, Thomas." DWIT I <3 u) EXECPT for Virgil, who by his very nature can be contrary to Thomas and his beliefs. AND he doesn't like to be put in specific boxes that have characteristics that don't fit him, like we see in the hogwarts episode (do you guys remember the hogwarts episode oh my godddddd). "Dark side" doesn't really fit him because he doesn't want to hurt or antagonize Thomas (though imo I don't think that fits Janus or Remus (or maybe even orange, depending on what his whole deal is) either) and "Light side" doesn't really fit him becuse he's not "pure" or a "role model" like Roman/Patton/Logan are supposed to be, (though CANONICALLY R/P/L are shown to have Flaws capital F). Virgil, He's not on the binary (black/dark and white/light), much like my very favorite head cannon for him (they/them virgil my beloved). Anyways sorry for rambling on your post i just LOVE this topic gahhhh can you tell
The other thing about meeting my wife on this website is I've seen multiple friends today reblog a post about how some mutuals you eventually transition to using their given name and some you never do, and the thing is. The woman I am legally married to is in the latter category.
