Ooc: Hey oshaverse, as some of you may have figured, Gerald's story has ended. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that interacted with me and all the awesome people I met through this blog. It's been so much fun and honestly it helped me gain some confidence as a writer. I truly appreciate all the support and love that everyone's given me, it means so much!

Unfortunately, as much as I would like to continue Gerald's story I feel like I reached a natural stop, and because of my various health issues I have just found it increasingly difficult to keep up with everything going on in the oshaverse. I will be leaving this account up as an archive of sorts.

He'd been lying there for, well what he thought was decades but realistically was only maybe a day.

To Gerald, it didn't really matter any more. Sure, his legs and arm were cleanly snapped in half and radiated waves of flame up and down his body at the slightest movement, and every breath he took sounded like a deflating balloon, but he couldn't muster the strength to even cry out.

This quivering, silent mass of flesh and broken bone had nothing left to give. Nothing left to be taken from him. Part of him, no, all of him wished that Eridanus had just...finished the job and squashed him like the bug he knew he was.

How could he have had the audacity to think that he could walk among gods and not get burned?

But no, he couldn't die, could he? Fate had sunk her claws into him, and dragged him back from any rest he'd hoped to reach for.

Gerald watches as his single unbroken limb, the hand he'd had replaced, reaches out and starts to drag him slowly forward. His legs slowly slide behind him, sending a dark red rush of searing agony up and down his body, reverberating like screams in his skull.

He didn't understand why he was moving, or even where he was moving to, but something held him back from stopping.

Is this...is this all I'm ever meant to do? Play puppet in someone else's show?

Eridanus had left the department and was now on a rampage destroying osha in search of Gerald. Some of his demon form had started to show. Pitch black horns and matching wings aided his search

Where are you human?!

Gerald is still in the basement of evil osha, wandering around humming to himself. He hasn't a care in the world, according to his twisted sense of reality he's completed the one thing he was supposed to do in this world.

Eridanus smashed through a wall, eye glowing red. Red marks on his face, arms, legs glow along with them.

Human

You dare hurt my wife?!

He grabs Gerald and slams him into a wall. At this point he towers over the human

Not unlike a dog toy, Gerald smashes into the wall, flailing until he makes contact. A few loud cracks resound through the basement, signalling that several of his bones have snapped.

Instead of screaming, crying, or even whimpering, Gerald just starts to laugh, reaching a fever pitch.

He simply can't care anymore, his job is done.

"Needle and thread was, w-was" Gerald coughs, waving his hands in the air. "Screaming, lemon trees cut down. Mop and Broom stay seperate."

His arm is bent at an unnatural angle, but he continues trying to use it, laughing and shrieking loudly.

He chuckles darkly,

You think you did anything? In fact you’ve done the opposite of what you wanted my Embroidery is in kishars lap as we speak.

Kishar is declaring how much they love her right now and what are you doing?!

He laughs louder,

The laughter screeching out of Gerald's throat grinds to a sudden stop. He stares at Eridanus first with complete and utter confusion, then a horrific dawning comprehension that once again he failed.

"No...no..." He coughs violently hacking up blood. "Needle and Thread was hurting, gone, screaming..."

Gerald begins to try standing, but his broken leg crumples under him like a tissue. He finally screams in pain, it hits him all at once just how broken his body is.

"Broken toy..."

Eridanus hissed down at Gerald after dropping him.

You failed human, kishar will never care for you so give up. Embroidery will never be gone no matter how hard you try.

He stares down at Gerald with contempt before disappearing in flames. Leaving Gerald a crumpled mess on the floor

He lies there, quivering in agony and shame, unable to comprehend his circumstances. It hurts to breathe, it hurts to think.

And it occurs to him just how tired he is. So long spent wandering, before that he'd been tired, exhausted even, but now he couldn't even remember the last time he'd slept or ate. Gerald doesn't do anything to move.

He failed. Once again he failed. He couldn't save Kishar, he couldn't save anything or anyone he'd ever cared about.

And that hurt more than any broken bone or burst lung.

After his new hand had been installed, and Gerald wandered off once again, darker and stranger thoughts started to invade his mind. His interaction with Eridanus reminded him of things he'd been desperately trying to forget, and awoke feelings he didn't recognize.

These thoughts drove him to find @osha-embroidery-department.

Which leads us to where he is now, wandering around their laboratory with a panicked look on his face.

"Mop and broom, danger, injury, bleeding, help?!" He frantically grabs for one of their hands, trying to lead them somewhere.

Gerald nearly breaks into a run, pulling her to the entrance of Evil OSHA. He heads towards the lower floors, hurrying down the stairs and mumbling about danger and hurting. The sound of loud machinery drowns him out

I mean maybe if they were cleaning..but this doesn’t seem very safe

"MOP AND BROOM IS OVER THE HILL, INJURED, BLEEDING, SALT WATER TEARS." Gerald yells, pointing towards an industrial size crusher built into the ground, implying that Kishar on the other side of it

Okay okay, Embroidery hurried over with a fearful look. If kishar got hurt because of that well…it would hurt even her.

Kishar sweetie where are you! Gerald I don’t see them?! She is near the mouth of the crusher looking over to the other side but she can’t spot kishar

Gerald's gone completely silent. He slowly walks up behind her, a wide grin on his face as he finally realizes that this is what he was truly supposed to do in life.

Get his revenge.

With a great shove, Gerald pushes Em off the edge, sending her tumbling down into the industrial crusher with a deranged laugh.

Someone is screaming everything is screaming pain pain pain

Gerald’s laughter is almost drowned out by the machine, almost. It’s excruciating, the feeling of being bent and broken by the machine. Shards of embroidery’s own body stab into her as she is shards now. It felt like the crusher was ripping her away from herself, like her soul was splitting in two and being devoured. It was searing, sharp, and brutal.

There is no blood, how could there be? Only shadows leak from the crusher and everything is all too silent even as the machine chews her up to dust.

His laughter continues for a moment longer, lingering in the air around him. Everything seems to slow down as an overwhelming feeling of accomplishment sizzles through his blood.

Gerald had done it. The person who'd controlled him, tormented him, experimented on him like some curious pet, was, was being destroyed before him. Nothing else mattered but the sound of her going through just as much pain as he'd been forced to suffer through, all in the name of science and cruelty.

"Mop, mop and broom will always stay a cherry tree. You understand? Cherry trees can't turn lemon. No, no no." Gerald does a little celebratory dance, crowing with joy. "Only a cherry tree. Can't stay with lemon!"
