i posted this almost three years ago before i ever did acid but its true that learning a new language really does loosen your ego because you become immediately aware of how much of your identity is projected through your use of language and how when you speak to others you are recognizing them as “others” and you learn that your identity is mutable and shifts depending on how skilled you are in a certain language at projecting parts of your imagined self to various extents.

speaking in a different language forces you to navigate a completely different reality that you dont know much about which makes you realize theres no reality at all. so there u have it
