Where am I?

Grace being aroace is so important to me. Especially during that scene where it’s stated that Grace is not married, doesn’t have kids and doesn’t even own a dog. It goes to show how incredibly excluded and expendable we as aroace people are seen in the eyes of society. Grace is a teacher, he’s actively assisting the future generation but yet that isn’t seen as nearly as important as conforming to societal norms.

also, many women/people experience controlling behaviour and domestic violence from their partner for the first time during pregnancy. don’t risk thinking “he’s just stressed, it’ll get better when the baby comes” because it won’t. neither you and your child will ever be safe with that man. get out as early and safely as you can

My mother was very lucky that she was legally married to my father because he literally just said “I’m going for a drive” one day, and never came back, leaving her with a very confused and distressed three year old. He phoned her up later and told her he wanted a divorce. Don’t become 100% reliant on your partner because they can drop you and your kids so quickly - and without warning.
