you need a certain amount of good posture (he carries himself like a president and a general), unless you’re Very Good you need a second before firing to aim properly (thinking before acting, maybe overthinking and exhausting his arms?), and the arrow has to be drawn back to the “kisser point” or corner of your mouth to get Maximum Power (he’s a charisma build).

he also wears long sleeves and light jackets pretty consistently, which is funny to me personally as someone who did archery when they were younger because if you fuck up firing the bow then the string can graze your arm and that shit is an ouch moment. so like maybe the reason c!wilbur favors the long sleeve is to protect his arm because he grazed his arm one too many times as a kid and is Not doing that shit again.

he also would either have callouses on the fingers he uses to pull the string back Or has a wrist release (image attached) to keep his fingers from hurting after a lot of bow use and both of those options intrigue me.
