basically. i am seriously fucking trapped in a bad situation. debt (litigation because i have not veen able to afford to pay off anything and) & an impending $400-odd to pay off for my phone so i can leave this scam of a contract and get to a much cheaper and better contract. i do not have payment arrangements set up for the debt yet but it is a Lot. $14k a lot.

i need at minimum $450 raised/saved to be able to pay off the rest of my phone (contract ends july 21) and i don't know how much i need exactly to start paying off the debts but literally anything. i aim to start small with what i can afford ($50-100 per two weeks while i'm working minimum wage) but i'm looking for higher paying jobs. more work. anything i can get my hands on to pay this off. but i don't drive or have a vehicle

minimum wage is $15/h, i get paid $15.50/h. it's not even livable in the albertan/canadian economy, i'm working all i can and i'm floundering really badly. please, if anyone can help with any of this, i would be eternally grateful. this debt was accrued using credit to pay my bills and feed myself and my cat after i lost my job back in 2024 after being financially abused for multiple years and facing workplace bullying that ended up with a lot of retaliation against me. workplace and exterior injuries have also left me at a massive disadvantage of not being physically able to work but even pushing past that it's not enough.

the stress is severely impacting my physical health in turn. i can barely keep food down from the stress and i don't know what the hell i'm supposed to do. i can't get a loan until i catch up on missed payments and i can barely even manage this. please. if anyone has advice or the extra funds to spare, please please please help. i feel so awful asking for help with something like this but i don't have a choice.

after some time apart, ive reconnected with a good friend of mine. they're a disabled trans person now living alone after their girlfriend attacked them physically last night. they relied on her income as they work very little due to their disability and otherwise only have limited income from their disability benefits.

they have been struggling for a while with all of this and has endured a lot of abuse. picking up their life is hard enough, but the stress of financial strain makes that really difficult, especially when it comes to separating from their abuser.

can we start by getting them $500 to make up for this month's lost income, and make sure they don't fall behind on their bills?
