got to find out what type of trees these are, they're really something
Richard Beymer, who played Benjamin Horne in Twin Peaks, took a remarkable series of black and white, behind the scenes photographs during the filming of the original seriesâ final episode in 1991. With David Lynchâs permission, Beymer used his own Olympus camera to document the final days on set after the in-house photographer had left due to the showâs cancellation.ďżź
Visited Twin Peaks today! My coworker and I pulled off an incredibly cool side quest while in Seattle for a work trip and managed to see a lot of the Twin Peaks filming locations in Snoqualmie and North Bend, WA. We saw the exterior for the Great Northern, the falls, Ronette's bridge, the "Welcome to Twin Peaks" sign location (original sign isn't there anymore) and a replica sign in a different spot, and stopped for lunch at Twede-'s Cafe aka the Double R Diner. We also went up to see the sheriff's station, which is currently a rally driving school. The guys there were super nice and let us walk through the building and see all the rooms, including the conference room. The whole area was absolutely beautiful, and it was a lot of fun seeing Twin Peaks fans everywhere.
happy birthday dear laura

Next up someone is going to claim that the Narnia series isn't kids books.
Kids books is probably not the best way to word it, you can enjoy them at every age, including your childhood, as you get older you may find new truths in them, but they're still good for any age.
People seem to forget that Tolkien originally wrote it specifically for his children as a bedtime story. You are never too old or too young for the Hobbit.
annoying when shows set in the medieval period have the women with thier hair just long and unstyled and out . girl go put on your wimple girl đ¤Śââď¸
like there are so many fun medieval hair and headgear options, it's so boring just seeing loose beachy waves meant to appeal to 21st century beauty standards
put that hot prince in a gay little hood with an ostrich feather or so help me god

Iâm paying to force seven thousand strangers to see a photo of my late husband having fun with his dog. Tumblr Blaze is totally worth it. XD
Thank-you to all of my new Internet stranger friends for being so gracious about having my post shoved onto your dashboards. I loved reading all of your kind tags and comments! Both Martin and Bosco have been gone for several years now but for 24 hours, they felt very present in my life. I greatly appreciate this gift. â¤ď¸
Reblog to have your dashboard be visited by the spirit of joy that death can end but not erase.
Thank you to everyone who commented in their tags or messaged me. Indeed, today is âMartin and Bosco Dayâ. I originally whimsically blazed this photo on 13 July 2022. I never expected Martin and Bosco to travel so far and make so many new friends. The experience has been such a gift for me.
I read somewhere either on here or somewhere else on tumblr that the reason why you never hear back from your application is if you applied for a non-cashier position, stores aren't interested and only want/need cashiers.
Which sounds plausible. No one wants to be a cashier so most people apply for any other jobs available.
So what should the solution be? Treat your fucking cashiers better. Let them have chairs/stools. Accommodate whatever medical issue they may have. Let them have water/drinks at the register. Schedule enough backup to help them with unexpected rushes. Have that backup also help with other tasks that are not the cashier's responsibility, but management loves to make them their responsibility, such as go-backs and answering phones and online orders. Make management have their back and defend them against abusive/violent customers and ban those fucking customers.
You can't fucking have it both ways. "Oh we're not gonna change our behavior at all and continue treating our cashiers like garbage. Oh? Where did all our cashiers go? Oh well. Guess we'll lie in our job applications and make people think they're applying for other jobs around the store and then trick them into being cashiers. Unrelated, but why can't we keep any new employees for longer than a couple months?"

My store is especially bad about all of this.
Yes, some disabilities are dynamic, and most of us in the disability community know this. However many people arenât aware of just how dynamic some conditions can be.
A person can go from no symptoms at all to being profoundly debilitated all in one day.
Some have baseline symptoms so low and flares so high, that things can go from 1 to 10 very quickly.
I know it can seem impossible that some peopleâs disabilities fluctuate with such extreme variability, but this is a real phenomenon that people deal with.

Reminder to newly out trans women/fems or anyone else on E, donât let anyone gaslight you about your period symptoms. donât let anyone with a childâs level understanding of how periods work make you feel like youâre stupid or delusional for experiencing period symptoms, especially if you think there might be something wrong.
things like endometriosis can develop in an estrogen-dominated system, because its the hormones that cause the growth of endometrial lesions, not the âpartsâ themselves. If youâre experiencing unusually painful symptoms* then you have a right to find a doctor who will take you seriously and not try to gaslight you into thinking that the pain is ânormalâ.
*period pain is not supposed to affect your daily life. Itâs supposed to feel more like an inconvenience rather than a medical emergency. If you are struggling to go about your life, if you canât move due to the pain, if youâre bed-ridden for the majority of your period, then that is not normal and you need to find a doctor who is going to take your pain seriously. This obviously goes for anyone who experiences periods because unfortunately itâs not common knowledge that experiencing agonising levels of pain is NOT NORMAL!!!
This post is now overrun with TERFs like fucking ants but I think itâs really fascinating to watch how hypocritical they are by literally denying basic biology. It is a simple and logical fact that taking estrogenising HRT will lead to an estrogen-dominant system, and when one has an estrogen-dominant system, they will experience the effects of the way in which estrogen works in a cyclical manner.
This cycle causes the shedding of the uterus lining, which is menstruation, but thatâs only one symptom of a period and the two should not be treated as synonyms (hence the distinction between menstruation and PMS). In fact itâs actually quite daunting, and reflective of a severe lack of sex education on how estrogen-dominated systems work, that so many people in the notes of this post do not realise that menstruation is not the only part of a period. Cis women without uteruses, for example, still experience period symptoms if their ovaries remain intact, because the ovaries still produce estrogen, and if they also donât have their ovaries, then cis women may also go on HRT to restore their low levels of estrogen back to their normal levels, and will again experience the period symptoms caused by an estrogen-dominated system, such as bloating, mood swings, fatigue and even things such as PMDD (which is a hormone-based disorder and does not require the presence of a uterus, hence why trans women on HRT can also develop this debilitating disorder).
This knowledge is vital, not just for trans women, but for everyone with an estrogen-dominated system (cis women, trans women, pre-T trans men etc.) because working under the belief that period symptoms are entirely contained within the uterus means that many symtoms, issues and disorders can go undiagnosed when the uterus is not present. Endometriosis, for example, is literally a disorder caused by endometrial tissue growing outside of the uterus, so removing the uterus does not cure endometriosis.
TERFs are willing to ignore basic biological facts and literally put women in danger by minimising the effects that estrogen itself has on the body purely to further their exclusionary agenda wherin the idea of a trans woman being able to relate to them in any way causes them to seethe with misplaced anger.
Itâs also interesting how much theyâve deified their own pain and suffering, so being exposed to the fact that this pain is not exclusive to cis women (or more specifically, those with a uterus) is so threatening to them that they have to literally change immutable facts in order to deny this reality.
Which I find incredibly ironic.
Had a pretty significant typo in there at the end so please reblog this version :]

*taps mic* the queer community needs to make more effort to make pride events accessible despite corporate influence on pride and structural inaccessibility.
the queer community needs to hype up disability pride month (july btw) while queer pride month is happening. the queer community needs to amplify disabled queer experiences.
the queer community needs to recognize intersex people and how many of us have disabilities related to our intersex variation - and this Still Does Not Prove Eugenicists Right.
the queer community needs to fight ableism and love disabled people. queer or not. also quick question. why do you think the right paints us as insane predators.
All of this!!!
