The thing about everyone making Scardapane's endless excuse for him that Daredevil: Born Again S1 was only bad because his hands were tied with the existing footage (incorrect)

is that he proudly learned nothing from his mistakes and is repeating every single one all over again in S2. And more!

#Pacing contines to be “We're not here for acting. We're here for the most info as possible as fast as possible so we can move on”#Scardapane said he hates dialogue and how long before everyone believes him?#Weeeeird hatred against Heather first glimpsed at end of S1 continues. Ramped up insanely fast. Vilifying her so quickly with no transition #Don't care she's hallucinating Muse because that was sudden and sloppy too. (More like their own haunting for killing off the character)#“Noooo we're not doing modern political allegory we prommy” continues to be blatant lie. If you can't write #without trying to manipulate and reroute people's real emotions for current tragedies into your project‚ you. cannot. write #Fight “choreography” even more pathetic in S2. The camera angles trying to help sell it make the whole thing look incredibly low budget #Then they'll stop the flow of the fight to focus on a bit of gore they're so proud of like that makes up for it because “they went there”#Obvious MattKaren shipper and wasting NO TIME getting there even though god tier DD S3 understood there were more important things going on #Genuinely‚ screw romance (the absolutely lowest priority always) when there is so much else to do. Cut these weird rushed awkward scenes #and give the timing to other important scenes to help their pacing #And Karen is a public enemy beside Matt when... who even said she was back in town??? If you want to inflate her importance #at least throw in a five minute scene saying how they know she's working with DD and what she's “done.”#Then I thought Karen was FINALLY having some growth and personal accountability when she said she felt guilt about Ben's death #since she's the one who intentionally tricked him into going to the facility and berated him into writing the story #but that would have been too OOC.#I'm trying to think of a single thing I liked about the episode #Buck's very very (very) rushed reflection after killing that man is interesting #but if all it's setting up is a boring plot where he betrays Fisk (in a “oh he was never loyal Wesley” 'twist') I don't care #Matthew Lillard killed it with... whatever he's doing. He's the one (1) actor they let do any acting #I would still love him to be Leland Owlsley Jr but I now feel that is not going to happen #Oh! the Dex thing at the end looked cool (by merit of it being Bullseye) but since I live in deep dread of them trying to make mf Bullseye #an anti-hero or some crap‚ I can't even enjoy it.#Sure he hates Fisk and “enemy of my enemy is my friend” and sure he would probably betray Matt before the end #but everything in the middle with a team-up sounds so awkward and weird and completely antithetical to Daredevil/Bullseye #He hated Fisk in the S3 finale too and still tried killing DD. He would rather split his focus and lose than get help with his goal.#I'm such a hater but I don't care. Don't want to debate any of this because I. don't. care.#Wanted to give S2 a chance jic they learned their lesson instead of scapegoating the original shoots but that was never gonna happen #Daredevil #Born Again
